it's really good, but there are alot of direct rips from pop culture. Hellsing ultimate Abridged, legend of zelda, and an entire character is copied from Metal gear rising revengance. I love the series, but it would be better if it pulled back the obvious copying of other pop culture references

So the narrator is great, but the writing sucks. I've gotten through 3 books and I'm done. It would have been a great story if it was ruined by countless intimate and sexual relationships between the main character and the women around him. It's so bad that half the plot centers around it and it's so poorly written. For example, there is a lengthy medieval rave club scene. In all honesty, there are vastly better things to read.
