It's Really That Simple
Revisado: 03-03-23
Dammit Just Ask is really that easy. Whether you're in a corporate world or self employed, the concepts, stories, experiences and advice are on target and effective for business relationships AND your personal life. J.Paul Nadeau writes in a down to earth sort of way and doesn't over complicate his very important concepts and ideas. I found the book entertaining, informative, inspirational and useful. I reference it often. As for the narration, well this is the same narrator that did J.Paul's first audiobook Take Control of Your Life. I like when authors can do that - keep the same narrator. Listeners develop a "relationship" with their narrators and look forward to something new. Steven Osarczuk delivers a straight forward but light hearted approach to the material. His voice is deep and confident but soothing to listen to. He performs the work not just reads it and you feel like there are people behind this book who know what they are talking about becasue they experienced it themselves and that you can trust what they say. I read somewhere that the narrator was also a police officer and a hostage negotiator like J.Paul Nadeau was... coincidence? If so, it works in our favor. Great read - Great Listen...

Historia
As told through the eyes of a boy, this story explores the boy's experience with a loss and how he travels through memories with hope to a place of being okay. I Woke Up Without an Ed was written to address death, loss, bereavement, grief, and healing in a sensitive way, with the hope it will help people, and especially children, navigate from a difficult path of loss to a place of healing. A solid addition to libraries, the book can be an aid for families, teachers and educators, counselors, and others.

What a ride!
Revisado: 03-07-22
I thought the story was written well. It flowed nicely. The science fact mixed in plausibly with the science fiction to make you think.... It could happen.... maybe.... Very independent and powerful female characters. The author did a nice job putting women into difficult/sometimes heart racing situations and allowing the reader to follow them through their struggles and ultimately be victorious in their own right. While the story is a sci-fi genre you can tell right away the author is a strong family man because the subplot was all about the struggles a family faces trying to survive overwhelming odds during a crisis. Husband and wife, mother and father, brother and sister and extended family were all included. The narration I thought was spot on! This narrator's voice just pulls you into the story and makes everything seem like it's real and happening next to you. He knows not only how to read, but how to emote while reading which turns a narration into a performance. You can really feel the action sequences while listening to this narrator. I am definately looking forward to more books from J.T Fluhart and more performances from Steven Osarczuk

I have listened to a lot of self help books in the past, however, as a former police officer myself this book spoke to me on a completely different level. The information was great, the stories were so relatable and I felt very connected to the message the author was sending. As a plus, the narrator is also an experienced police officer who delivered the message in a pleasing and poignant manner and added authenticity to the author's words. I definitely enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from the author and hearing more from the narrator. This was a positive and surprisingly good book. Highly recommend.

grew up on the 1951 movie The Thing
enjoyed the 80's remake of the movie. i saw in the credits of that movie "based on the story - Who Goes There 1938" by JW Campbell. The story puts both movies to shame.
Cooper captures the characters and the story theme perfectly. I'm there...with the thing....
