Can't wait for the fourth!
Revisado: 06-28-08
We've just finished listening to all three books in a row. My children (12 and 8) really enjoyed them and I did as well. We listened on a long road trip and every time we got into the car they wanted to turn it on right away. The Cobra King was a little harder to follow for my younger one as it jumped forward and back between story lines and we paused more often to explain things. There was a little more 'gore' in this one near the end--more so than the other books, but still not overly so. I rated this one 4 stars instead of 5 like the other two just for the fact that I noticed some unexplained inconsistencies that perhaps listening to all three in a row were more noticable. But, it was still very enjoyable and the children actually would have rated each one '10' they said! We still can't wait for the fourth book to be released on Audible.

Second book as great as the first!
Revisado: 06-28-08
My children (12 and 8) and I listened to this as well as the other two books on a long road trip. Plenty of humor even for adults, but even my 8 year old could follow the story. He missed some of the more subtle humor, but it didn't affect his love of the story. This book was a little more intense than the first, but still not too scary. Very enjoyable listen and Ron Keith as narrator of all three installments is wonderful. The voices are distinct and the pronunciations succinct. The exotic names and places really make you feel as though you are there.

Wonderful!
Revisado: 06-28-08
My children and I listened to this as well as the other two books on a long road trip. We couldn't wait to get started each day to hear more of the book. "Can we turn on John and Phillipa yet?!" is what I would hear every time we returned to the car. Some of the references were over the head of my 8 year old, but he still greatly enjoyed them and has actually asked to start them all over again right away. My 12 yo and I laughed hysterically over many of the references to customs and legends that "mundanes" have misinterpretted from Djinn. Plenty of humor even for adults. Some 'scary' parts, but not too long or too intense.
