Historia
Chosen from birth to usher in a new era, Poppy’s life has never been her own. The life of the Maiden is solitary. Never to be touched. Never to be looked upon. Never to be spoken to. Never to experience pleasure. Waiting for the day of her Ascension, she would rather be with the guards, fighting back the evil that took her family, than preparing to be found worthy by the gods. But the choice has never been hers.

I’ve listened to this book two or three times and love it all the same. Excellent writing and intriguing story!

Historia
When Maddie and Will get a message that dire wolves—huge misshapen changelings, much larger than regular wolves—have been marauding and attacking through the hills and valleys of Celtica, the Rangers are sent on a mission to unravel just who or what is behind these dangerous creatures. Will isn’t anxious to return to Celtica, especially approaching the Rift. And as they travel, Maddie must grapple with their growing dealings with the spiritual and supernatural. But they are Rangers—and they will do whatever it takes to accomplish their mission.

Good story, not his best
Revisado: 10-05-24
As others have pointed out, it seems like a rehash of other stories. I suppose it’s hard to have written so many books each with its own unique story. But it was a little disappointing. I hope the next book is better and fits in with the others. This one was definitely unique…

Historia
They said his uncle Ian died in a car accident. Alex Rider knows that's a lie, and the bullet holes in his uncle's car confirm the truth. But nothing can prepare him for the news that the uncle he always thought he knew was really a spy for Britain's top-secret intelligence agency. Enlisted to find his uncle's killers and complete Ian's final mission, Alex suddenly finds himself caught in a deadly game of cat and mouse, with no way out.

Love this story!
Revisado: 03-25-22
I absolutely love the books written by Anthony Horowitz. They’ve been my favorite since I was a child and now as an adult, they still are. I personally feel like his books get better and better as they go along. Highly recommend to anyone who likes books relating to spies and the mysteries that surround their lives

Pretty good book
Revisado: 11-05-21
Overall, I did enjoy this book. I wish I could give 4.5 stars instead of 4 or 5 because I don’t believe it truly deserves either. The story was generally appealing, though like many books, had some slow parts. And unfortunately, those slower parts nearly put me to sleep… the ending is decent, though I felt like the story dragged in places, particularly at the ending and then the book came to a close rather abruptly. Overall, I love John Flanagan’s books and would recommend them to almost anyone

Historia
Several years have passed since the apprentice and his master, Will and Halt, first met, and Will is finally a full-fledged Ranger with his own fief to look after. The fief seems sleepy - boring, even - until Lord Syron, master of a castle far in the north, is struck down by a mysterious illness. Joined by his friend Alyss, Will is suddenly thrown headfirst into an extraordinary adventure, investigating fears of sorcery and trying to determine who is loyal to Lord Syron.

Okay, so I don’t know why so many are complaining about the narrator
Revisado: 06-22-21
The story is excellent! And is one of my absolute favorites of the series. So many complain that the narrator is awful. He’s not my favorite, but he is FUNNY. Especially his impersonation of Alyss. Be open-minded and ready to laugh when listening. Also, he’s the only narrator that actually sings Will’s songs 😂 Overall, excellent book and good narration
