I loved understanding how honor and debt and slavery and wages came together. I better understand the idea of virtue signaling and the patriarchy and this book has helped me understand why some women in the world are required by their societies to wear veils.

The discussion on debt forgiveness in cultures over the last many centuries was enlightening and gave me New perspective on the idea of student loan debt forgiveness.

too much dramatic music. music was too loud. acting was over the top. just read the book. it's much better than this production

a bit slow at first... then, wow!

the first few chapters were probably needed for setup. however, they were fairly slow. soon after the setup, yet became very interesting and hard to not continue listening. The narrator was excellent. The story is amazing

I really like the podcast these guys do. this book is a bit like the podcast, but a deeper dive into the details.

they highlighted several things that I had hoped for the future to be unlikely, but sneak others that are much more plausible.

I really appreciate the work these guys put into skepticism. It's helped me form a better worldview.

it's a chore to complete

I'm having a hard time finishing this book. the reader is doing her best, but the dialog is so bad it's laughable at times. The story is flat and silly.

I would have returned this book hours ago, but I'm listening on a road trip. My wife feels the story is worth finishing. We are listening at 2x to get it over as soon as possible.

There are many other stories around Hitler that are much better than this dime store novel. Save yourself the pain of this book and pick another one.

first half was better than second

the book way engaging and interesting for about the first half. the second half was too predictable and tired all the loose ends up. send the writer had a deadline to meet and slammed out the last half without the care given to the first half.

The read is a bit thick...But

the content is excellent! great info on quantum mechanics and on representative government. that's how wide ranging the topics are, but they are all brought together. a new insight on Easter Island as well. I'm going to listen again! note... it's best listened to at 1.3 speed, but I had to rewind to understand the concepts a few times at that speed.
