Historia
In a small Alaska town, a boy is found with his throat ripped out and all the blood drained from his body. The inhabitants of Deadhart haven’t seen a killing like this in twenty-five years. But they know who’s responsible: a member of the Colony, an ostracized community of vampyrs living in an old mine settlement deep in the woods.

Trite and cliché
Revisado: 07-03-24
I'm disappointed in myself for having listened to this entire book. I'm not sure more clichés could have been packed into a single novel. Also, around chapter 53, you get the world's biggest plot hole. This book made me wonder why I liked her other books, and if I were maybe drunk or something when listening to them, because this cannot be the same writer. It's just too terrible. She either was terrible to begin with and the narrators made up for it, or she has actually given up. And god help us, the ending leads one to believe there will be a second shitshow of a novel to follow this one. Utterly hopeless.

Historia
Every day, we find ourselves in gatherings, Priya Parker says in The Art of Gathering. If we can understand what makes these gatherings effective and memorable, then we can reframe and redirect them to benefit everyone, host and guest alike. Parker defines a gathering as three or more people who come together for a specific purpose. When we understand why we gather, she says - to acknowledge, to learn, to challenge, to change - we learn how to organize gatherings that are relevant and memorable.

Incredible!

This was the best guide to connecting people and purpose. Highly advised for leaders, facilitators, and creators of connection.
