A charming story
Revisado: 04-13-25
A nice story without any pathetic moralizing, populated with people one would absolutely love to be friends with and a particularly charming and life like ghost.

Historia
My life's one bad joke after another. I'm in a race against time to steal a Death Goddess's key before it falls into the wrong hands. There's also a good chance the ruthless family I left behind are hot on my heels—and vying for the very same key that I'm planning to destroy. Saving the world is tricky enough, but doing it while chronically broke is another thing entirely. I don't have time to worry about paying my rent—even if I am late. Yet again. And I don't have time for romance, even if my heart has other ideas

Not what I expected
Revisado: 03-24-25
The first book was feisty, quick witted and a nice romp through matters sometimes dark, sometimes sexy and often hilarious. The sequel quickly got gloomy, overly dramatic, silly and pathetic to an eye roll level. The cliffhanger was simply rude.

Goody two shoes galore
Revisado: 03-15-25
I am not sure if I want to continue reading Cat Sebastian. This is the second weakly pathetic and boring book. The plot is full of holes, the characters act like marionettes and the whole is barely plodding along. Tons of repetitive dialogue. It feels like smth written by a debutante in the genre, not an acknowledged author of many rather well written novels.

Historia
Dragons. Destiny. Duty. The sum of my life. All that I am. Yet I wish to be more than that. I wish to be a worthy partner for my lovers. I now have immense prestige and power, more than I could ever have imagined. Yet all I truly want is Kirby and Harlen. Does that make me selfish? Those months we spent alone in the cottage together have become my touchstone; my strength and my hope for the future. For what do warriors fight for, if not a chance for peace and love? But the whole world is at stake, not just my happiness. I cannot afford to be selfish.

A political (and sexual) disaster
Revisado: 03-02-25
A very good example of why, writing a semi-porn bromance one shouldn’t mix it with fight for freedom, finding allies and other such small (compared to the dicks involved) and mundane matters.
Absolutely the worst spent credit in a very long time.

Historia
Warm beds, quaint mysteries, and the best rosemary bread this side of Pigsend Creek. Welcome to the Weary Dragon Inn. Bev may not know who she was before she showed up in the quaint village of Pigsend five years ago, but that doesn’t bother her much. She’s made a tidy little life for herself as the proprietor of the Weary Dragon Inn, where the most notable event is when she makes her famous rosemary bread.

One-credit dissapointment
Revisado: 01-29-25
When will I learn not to pay attention to all the dast ist fantastisch reviews. I wish I didn’t spend a credit on this. A cliche marysue heroine with 2,5 brain cells in her pretty “I am here to decorate the world “ head, a cliche mysterious dark hero, half of the book is spent on monotonous repetitions about how she loved her sister (yes we got it after the first two hours, enough already), and so on ad nauseam. Add to this a really wrong choice of the narrator. She is not bad per se, just can not lift a mediocre text to a higher level, as it sometimes happens.

I don't have time for mysterious strangers. Even the really hot ones. I met him in a bar the night before I left to move across the country - and I never expected to see him again. But then he followed me.... It would be creepy if he was just a stalker - but he’s not. He’s a protector, shielding me from a group of nutjobs who believe in dragons. He saved my life - but now it’s my turn. And apparently, the nutjobs aren’t wrong. Dragons are real. And I hold the key to saving them all.

Revisado: 12-08-24
At least the first book is all about mpreg issues. No intrigue, practically no plot, heavy handed sex scenes. A dollop of humor would have helped a lot but everything is so serious and every single dialogue is crammed with pathos and drama. In short, boring.

Historia
Thirty years ago the world as we know it was lost. Now humans live like rats, desperate for food and safety. The wall towers before us as a mocking reminder of what happened. The wall that keeps the monsters locked away from us. The wall that keeps us safe. The wall that every day I sneak through. I thought I was safe in the light beyond its scarred concrete. I thought I knew the way of the world. Then, night falls and I’m trapped beyond the wall. Monsters come out to play in an explosion of shadows, claws, and tails. Their black eyes track me like prey until he comes—their leader....

Rather primitive
Revisado: 11-08-24
One of those heroines who do smth very stupid with panache, energy and total lack of “let’s think about it “ and then heroically overcome the results. One of those subservient and brainlessly in love monsters who just keep repeating he would die for her so often, that it gets more and more irritating with every page. Too much of repetitive sex scenes that quickly become boring and actually vulgar by the end of the book. Meh.

Life as a raider in the Wastes, where monsters roam and the military lurks, is as easy as it sounds. I’ve been out here for a long time, and the fear that courses through my blood every time I step outside our camp walls to scavenge never fades. No matter how many monsters you face—and have to run for your life from—it doesn’t ever get easier. But when I come across a bound and injured monster in an abandoned military base, I can’t leave him behind.

Incredible fantastic narration
Revisado: 10-20-24
I love the series, the books have everything: good plots, humor, interesting characters and the logic of the created world however fantastic it is. But even if the books lacked all of those, the narration would still make them a fabulous listen. One of the best narrators ever.
