Historia
When Kyle Shanahan became the NFL's youngest offensive coordinator in 2008, he had one prevailing rule: Tell me the why. If a colleague couldn't justify his position by providing the unassailable reasoning behind it, he was told to get the hell out of Shanahan's office. Shanahan and the members of his coaching tree—including Sean McVay, Mike McDaniel, Raheem Morris, and Matt LaFleur—came up in a sport where innovation was the exception, not the rule. There had been brilliant football minds before, from Paul Brown to Bill Walsh to Bill Belichick.

How Did The NFL Reinvent Itself?
Revisado: 12-28-24
This is an excellent chronicle of the NFL’s new guard. From Kyle Shanahan and Sean McVey to The La Flur brothers, Mike McDaniel and Raheem Morris. Getting into and keeping a coaching job in the NFL is a life-long grind. Wonderful read.

Historia
Chase the Lion is more than a catch phrase; it’s a radically different approach to life. It’s only when we stop fearing failure that we can fully seize opportunity by the mane. With grit and gusto, New York Times best-selling author Mark Batterson delivers a bold message to everyone with a big dream. This is a wake-up call to stop living as if the purpose of life was to simply arrive safely at death. Our dreams should scare us. They should be so big that without God they would be impossible to achieve.

What It Takes To Face Your Biggest Challenges
Revisado: 01-09-17
What insight do you think you’ll apply from Chase the Lion?
I am not an overtly religious person and after starting this book I almost decided to put it down because of the preachy tone. However, Mark Batterson's message, that we all have the ability to do something truly courageous and exceptional, struck a chord and I continued on. By the end of "Chase the Lion" I felt a true need to stretch beyond my micro-managed world and challenge my biggest dream, starting a business that serves my local community.

Historia
"Years ago, I wrote about a retail store in the Palo Alto environs—a good one, which had a box of two-cent candies at the checkout. I subsequently remember that 'little' parting gesture of the two-cent candy as a symbol of all that is Excellent at that store. Dozens of people who have attended seminars of mine have come up to remind me, sometimes 15 or 20 years later, of “the two-cent candy story,” and to tell me how it had a sizable impact on how they did business."
