I’m a villainess too.
Revisado: 03-12-25
I liked the moments when it felt like she was speaking to us rather than reading it to us. Since they were her essays, it seemed like it would come from her in a more story telling way than her reading a script. More conversational. But the stories were well written and very entertaining. I related to many parts and enjoyed hearing them.

Historia
After Tova Sullivan’s husband died, she began working the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium, mopping floors and tidying up. Keeping busy has always helped her cope, which she’s been doing since her eighteen-year-old son, Erik, mysteriously vanished on a boat in Puget Sound over thirty years ago. Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.

An extraordinary friendship
Revisado: 11-20-24
A mysterious disappearance, a prisoner, some unlikely friendships, a search for family, and a need to be found result in a story that will break your heart and glue it back together. So glad I walked with them all through this tale.
