Historia
One year after her mother’s death, a woman prepares to celebrate her fortieth birthday. Digging through a trunk in the attic, looking for keepsakes for the occasion, she discovers photographs that call into question everything she believed about her life. The truth is a different story—one of a little girl in danger, a lie, and a mother’s love so fierce it led her to do the unimaginable.

Historia
The real-life story of a relationship in the author's past told in verse and short prose pieces. Relatable and honest, with Tank's signature mix of whimsy and realness, Vulnerable AF is about the difference between love and infatuation, the danger and confusion of losing yourself in the idea of someone else, and coming out on the other side of heartbreak with your sense of self-worth—and your sense of humor—stronger for it.

Tarriona has a talent for poetic delivery of imagery and wrapping feelings in words and just leaving the reader/ listener thirsty for more but also full on what was given. Thank you for being Vulnerable. It was relatable.

Historia
After a whirlwind year, Tabitha Walker’s carefully organized plan to achieve the life she wanted—perfect job, dream husband, and stylish home—has gone off the rails. Her checklist now consists of diapers changed (infinite), showers taken (zero), tears cried (buckets), and hours of sleep (what’s that?). Don't get her wrong, Tabby loves her new bundle of joy and motherhood is perhaps the only thing that's consistent for her these days. When the news station announces that they will be hiring outside competitors for the new anchor position, Tabby throws herself into her work.

Black Girls Can do it all and can have it all!
Revisado: 06-04-23
I enjoyed the final story to Tab’s life. It’s bittersweet that is the end of this character’s journey but I’m so glad for the journey the author took us on as we watched Tab make decisions and experience the challenges of life. Thank you Jayne Allen for sharing a message that Black can have it all. If you’re wondering if you should read this book, I recommend that you do. Read all three of the books in this series. The characters are well rounded and the storyline is realistic abs relatable. I’m looking forward to any tv adaptation that’s to come for this series.

Hooked to the very last word
Revisado: 05-05-18
This is first book I have ever read by Gregg Olsen. I will definitely be reading another book by him. He creates characters that you will love to hate. He created scenarios where there seemed to be no other way. He made some details seem obvious yet they weren’t and it left me guessing till the very end. This story is full of suspense that kept me hooked till the very last word.
Loved all of the voices of the person who narrated the novel.

Historia
Kim Fields has lived most of her life with people thinking they know her, which is understandable. From her first job on a Mrs. Butterworth syrup commercial at age seven, she has spent 40 years in the public eye. There were nine years as Dorothy "Tootie" Ramsey on the classic sitcom The Facts of Life, five more in her 20s starring as Regine Hunter on the seminal coming-of-age show Living Single, and most recently appearing as herself on Real Housewives of Atlanta and Dancing with the Stars.

Kept My Attention
Revisado: 04-14-18
This book allowed me to learn more about Kim Fields. She has been in the spotlight since she was very young and the book shares some of those milestones throughout the years. I enjoyed reading her perspective and her experiences. I connected to the story in many ways. I loved how she started the book with of things that defined her. I definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys memoirs.
