is this really a terry Brooks book?

this was extremely difficult to listen to. the story and antagonist were just dull. I tried to listen to it between various other books but just haven't been able to finish. I find it hard to believe that the author of the Shannara series and Knights of the Word wrote this. pass on this one.
I finally forced myself to finish this and daughter of Darkness. The story itself is solid but could have probably fit into a boom with 1/4 the words. There was so much excess rambling from the narrator (protagonist) it was very difficult to finish. If it didn't have Terry Brooks name I wouldn't have made it past chapter 2. This and Daughter of Darkness are the two worst Terry Brooks novels written. Hoping the next projects come back to the quality of Landover and Shannara.
