Historia
On September 5, a little after midnight, Death-Cast calls Mateo Torrez and Rufus Emeterio to give them some bad news: They're going to die today. Mateo and Rufus are total strangers, but, for different reasons, they're both looking to make a new friend on their End Day. The good news: There's an app for that. It's called The Last Friend, and through it Rufus and Mateo are about to meet up for one last great adventure - to live a lifetime in a single day.

A Beautiful Story
Revisado: 05-17-23
I had purchased this book when it first came out, but I had just lost a dear friend and couldn’t bring myself to read it. A few weeks ago the Audible version was recommended to me so I decided to give it a listen. Well, I listened to it over two days and fell in love with the story. All three narrators do beautiful work and each has his/her own distinct voice - exactly like the book. So often books that alternate between characters tend to have the same voice throughout, but not so here and this gives the reader a closer understanding of both Mateo and Rufus. This book has stayed with me for several weeks now and I think it will for some time to come.

Historia
Two 18-year-old boys find themselves sharing a room when they arrive at Oxford. Life draws them together at whirlwind speed as they find themselves playing opposite each other in a student production of Hamlet and, after a few false starts, playing together in bed. Love has many lessons to teach them as they grapple with their emerging sexuality, deal with the machinations of others, and dare to look at the face of lasting happiness.

Decent little but could have been better
Revisado: 03-18-23
I bought this as the story sounded nice and I thought it could be a simple winter read. I am certainly not a prude, and I do realize it’s a story about teenagers, but page after page of masturbation and description of genitals (not sure what words are appropriate for Audible) got to the point where it was almost ridiculous. I stuck it out to the end, but had the story been any longer I wouldn’t have. The author’s narration was fine, but it might have been better had a younger person done the reading.
