When I first started this book, I thought I had mistakenly gotten a medical dissertation as the author only speak about hurried woman syndrome in medical terms. However, but Part 2, it became more simplified and easy to grasp.
Honestly, while it did take me a little more effort than normal to finish this, I don’t regret it. I did pick up some good reminders and 100% know myself and many other women struggle with Hurried Woman Syndrome.

Was recommended this book, as I’m a type-a personality, young wife and mom and tend to overdue things. This was a quick listen, but I tried to drag it out as long as possible, because every word was super inspiring and impactful! This has forever changed my outlook on life and changed me for the better with my husband and kids!

What I loved some much about this book is how much I learned about my own inner self. While I don’t have daughters (yet) just sons (also make sure to read Raising Emotional Boys) this book has helped me with my nieces, my younger sisters and most of all myself. It’s help me realize why I did certain things or acted a certain way when I was younger. I plan to re read this book many times, I’m just so grateful for Sissy putting this book out there to benefit not only so many girls, but women as well.

I definitely loved a lot of things about this book, but not everything I agreed with, one of the major points being is when the author talked about in the divorce section, how children should call their step parents by “Mom” and “Dad”. I, coming from divorced parents who both remarried, never have, nor ever will call my step parents by the title of “mom” and “dad”. That is not to say I don’t respect them as parents, but I have and will call them by their names. My step mom had children with my dad, and even though we called her by her first name, her children still call her Mom.
The second thing, i do believe a better narrator could have been chosen to read this book. A lot of time during the book her voice would be so monotoned and just didn’t give the impression of the book that I think the author wanted.
Again, still some good points that I will take from it, but if I recommend this book, it will be as a side read, probably paperback and with a caution about the authors divorce section.
