Historia
US psychologist Abraham Maslow’s A Theory of Human Motivation is a classic of psychological research that helped change the field for good. Like many field-changing thinkers, Maslow was not just a talented researcher, he was also a creative thinker - able to see things from a new perspective and show them in a different light. He studied what he called exemplary people such as Albert Einstein, Jane Addams, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Frederick Douglass rather than mentally ill or neurotic people.

Incredibly boring
Revisado: 03-05-22
Although the research and the overall message here is very powerful and life altering, the way the book is written us almost unreadable for me. I believe the author wanted to make it as concise as possible, but that came out in the form of overly used large words and psychological jargon. I powered through it because it was only an hour, but I prefer other people's interpretations of this book as a better way to digest the information.

Historia
A revolutionary approach to the techniques of working with horses, by a renowned instructor. In Horses Never Lie, renowned horse trainer Mark Rashid challenges the conventional wisdom of "alpha leadership" and teaches the listener to become a "passive leader" - a counterpart to the kind of horse other members of a herd choose to associate with and to follow. Applying Rashid’s principles and techniques helps cultivate horse personalities that are responsive and dependable regardless of the rider.

Great read!

The book and it's content were fantastic. I did not prefer the narrator's style however. It felt jilted, over-annunciated and robotic. I was able to get into the book despite this however.

Great story
Revisado: 05-29-20
It was hard to get into the book in the beginning, but I kept going because the Hunger Games trilogy had been so great. I'm glad I kept listening though, because it just kept getting more and more interesting. It was a very twisted tale, and it was uniquely uncomfortable to read from the villain's perspective.
I do wish the voice actor would have sang the songs, as just speaking them was very disjointed and awkward. Other than that however, it was an excellent performance.

Comprehensive but somewhat unscrupulous
Revisado: 05-21-20
Overall the book was quite informative with lots of ideas for a successful online business. It is straight to the point and I like how it is organized.
My issue is with a few of the suggestions they make such as to go to corporate rather than local banks, and to shop Amazon rather than local office supply stores. While it does make sense because these are cheaper or more convenient ways to do business, and I do know this is a book supporting online shopping, but as a small business I try my best to support local brick and mortar businesses as much as possible. I go online for what I cannot find here, and the online store I am going to open will offer items not found around here too.
Another qualm I had was the encouragement to "friend" everyone you possibly could on Facebook, even people you don't know, just to have a larger audience. This is poor Facebook etiquette and comes off as sleezy. Along the same idea the book suggests to start emailing people you haven't talked to for years to bulk up your contacts....this to me is very rude and gives people the impression that you are using them.
So in conclusion, I think the book has several good takeaways, however, I think people need to use their common sense to decide which strategies are not the most ethical for an honest business with a good reputation to use.

Entertaining-I swooned, I cried
Revisado: 03-06-19
I didn't know what to expect since this was a free Audible original, but I was very pleasantly surprised in how good this story was! The performance is what made it so interesting with music and sound effects alongside of an energetic voice actor. The book itself was also a touching coming of age story that made you feel like you were in the main character's shoes.

Not that magical
Revisado: 01-24-19
I find the author to be annoying. Her brand of humor is unfunny and boring in my opinion. There is solid advice about not caring what other people think while also considering their feelings, but that can be stated in far less words. Reads like a B chick flick with the addition of vulgar language. I do not get offended by cuss words, but it felt forced and over used to a point of distracting me from the message.

Historia
From the New York Times best-selling author of The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F*ck and Get Your Sh*t Together comes more straight talk about how to stand up for who you are and what you really want, need, and deserve - showing when it's okay to be selfish, why it's pointless to be perfect, and how to be "difficult". Being yourself should be easy, yet too many of us struggle to live on other people's terms instead of our own. Rather than feeling large and in charge, we feel little and belittled.

Could not get through this book.
Revisado: 01-24-19
I find this author to be annoyingly self-congratulatory. The book itself feels like advice on how to live socially acceptable while being selfish. I do not think the humor is funny, and the "tips" would be better condensed in a blog article rather than drug out through an entire book with the author's idea of relatable experiences and metaphors. There are some helpful concepts, but overall not a life path for someone looking to grow spiritually during their life.
