Such an engrossing book

This draws you right in and is performed beautifully. It kept me company through the troublesome 2020 Summer projects. It also gives you an appreciation of what life was like during the depression.

Found pdf with the recipes in Library

This is a good listen for what it is, and I had struggled to find the recipes. They are in the library section. I hadn't read the publisher's note all the way to the bottom. Now I can move forward on her plan. I think she has a lot of great suggestions. But, honestly, I don't need a food safe for my husband's food. I have lost 60 lbs on my own diet for more than a year and have not cheated once. Trust me, I am just as much of a food addict as she is. I can understand how this might be useful, but I don't need it. I am super strict and know I will never be able to eat baked goods again, for example. I am vegetarian, but I am looking now to transition to maintenance on my diet and plant based whole foods. I will see what I can use from her system.

this is a book by a man with integrity telling a compelling story well. Wasn't sure, but it was engaging!

Typical with Twist

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The plot of the historical sections of the book were very engrossing and I found myself impatiently waiting to go from the "present" day scenes to the those. The setting of post revolution France was very engrossing and the addition of the arts was really interesting. I found the present day story line a bit boring, especially at first. They seemed very shallow until the plot thickened. I don't like the reader's inflection's when she is doing an American accent.

Any additional comments?

If you liked the others in this series this one won't disappoint I think.
