Just good clean fun
Revisado: 04-12-25
It is refreshing for there to be a story that can have characters of different moral integrity and defining characteristics all will help the need for vulgarity. I certainly don’t mind it in its place or even possibly not in its place, but it is nice to have a series of books without it.

Historia
Now that Guardian Angel Z357 is dead, there is nothing left standing in the path of Kallistus Kal and his one true desire. Not the Astrad Kingdom, not the Sect of the Abyssal Thorns, and certainly not Amelia. Especially not Amelia. Because she is far too busy dealing with the baby bastion bees back in her restaurant. However, when everyone turns to her to save them, she will have no choice but to choose between her normal life and being a hero once again.

Nothing really great or terrible about this book.
Revisado: 12-25-24
The four books are very repetitive and extremely 2 dimensional. There is so much promise in the idea that never appears. The author seriously needs a thesaurus! There are plenty of ways to describe the change in the people, crowd, room, whatever… read it to find out.

Buy a thesaurus please.
Revisado: 12-23-24
I am quite sure in the nearly 2k books in my audible library, in total, do not contain the phrase “a Sussurance” as often as the first two Amelia books. There has to be a few more options that would convey the same meaning/feeling.

Seriously?!?! What is up with half books for full price?!???
Revisado: 11-27-24
While it is being done by some of my favorite authors, I think it’s time I stop supporting writers who are providing readers with incomplete stories. Obvious money grab. I’m sorry, you are not Arthur Conan Doyle and this is not a legitimate cliff hanger.

Just another half book money grab…
Revisado: 11-26-24
I hate it when authors write just enough of a story to get you to buy the book and not complete it knowing you’ll have to buy the next book. It isn’t that I don’t really like this author, and I will buy the next book, but I also don’t like being taken advantage of as a reader and a consumer. Finish the damn story.

I don’t think it was a book even though it is marketed as one. I think it might be a companion to be sold alongside magic mushroom pizza. It might have been enjoyable if I had the pizza.

It would be very entertaining except…
Revisado: 09-12-24
I don’t typically leave reviews unless I really like something or something is utterly terrible. This book is neither yet I feel obligated to at least let my opinion be heard. I read fiction and specifically fantasy to spend time in a world or environment that is wholly different from the one in which I live. I really enjoyed the first several books and gave them five stars all around and even recommended them to a lot of people, including my own children. I’m starting to regret that. Obviously, there are aspects of real life that are going to show up in any work of fiction. Otherwise, it would either be impossible to understand/relate to or not very entertaining. Having said all of that, enough already with the social justice crap! It is no surprise to any human being that interacts with anyone else that most if not all of us are jackasses and treat individuals or groups of people in ways that diminish, demean and destroy. Fine, the author feels the need to include it in their story, which is their prerogative because it is their story, but it took me almost a year to buy this book because I was tired of hearing what felt like hours have either the MC complaining about the mistreatment of somebody or the complaining of those feeling that they had been mistreated. I suppose I should not have been surprised to get an even larger dose of it in this book. While the author is incredibly talented, they are not talented enough to leave a message and their story, instead they put up giant billboards in the story and force you to read them Because apparently they think the readers are too stupid to understand subtlety. I think I’ll take a pass on the remainder of the series withfull understanding that I will not be missed.

A credit for 7hrs of content?!
Revisado: 06-29-24
As much time as the author wastes giving pointless and boring full accountings of stats when most of them are now irrelevant to the story you think they would respect the readers enough to provide a full book. Either greed on the part of the author or publisher has resulted in this half book. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy the story and writing. I don’t like getting taken advantage of in the middle of a series when they know full well we will buy it even if short. I’ve been told size actually does matter.
