Only about half is the Bickersons. Includes commercials and other non-Bickersons persons. Not too good.

Not as good as other Clive Cussler novels.
Revisado: 08-25-20
Predictable plot, predictable characters. A few predictable twists, mostly unbelievable. Many of Cussler's better novels have interaction between NUMA & Dirk Pitt which make for a better read.

Typical John Grisham book
Revisado: 02-14-20
The only comment that I have is that abridgments always seems to change the storyline somewhat and this is the case here. I am left with the impression that somewhere along the line there are parts that are missing that would make the entire story more complete.

A waste of time
Revisado: 04-01-19
Alan Arkin may be a talented actor/director/producer, but he falls short as an author & narrator. I still don't know what I was supposed to take away from the book....a lot of way out philosophy that I could not understand or relate to.

For Sergeant Jim Chee of the Navajo Tribal Police, the case begins when he finds a pair of boots in the rabbit brush beside a wilderness trail. The boots' owner lies nearby, his palms and soles "scalped" in what appears to be a witch's scavenging. The federal investigators tell Chee to mind his own business. Naration
Revisado: 11-16-18
I have read/listened to nearly all of the Tony Hillerman writings. Years ago, these audio books were on cassette. In my opinion, what made them better than the books offered by Audible is that the majority were narrated by the author. His voice inflections and the pronunciation of the Navajo words added something that is lacking in these current versions.

Historia
Hundreds of thousands of devotees will cheer the return of Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee. The Navajo policemen, are brought together by the death of a man on Ship Rock, almost 1700 feet above the desert floor. The fallen man had sprawled on the ledge under the peak of Ship Rock mountain for eleven years - visited only by the ravens who had picked his bones bare and scattered his rock-climbing gear. Through the memory of those who had known him, emerges an understanding of the fallen man, who had been given everything and found it was not enough.

Could be better. ...
Revisado: 07-26-18
The author (Tony Hillerman) read numerous of his books on cassette, imparting the pronunciation of the Navajo words and phrases correctly. So far, the current naration has fallen short. It would be far better to use these readings vis a vie someone who appears to be unfamiliar with the cultures involved. I don't intend to take away from the talents of the current readers, but rather to state a preference (bias) for the author.
