It was terrific!
Revisado: 06-20-18
My husband and I just enjoyed this book during a long road trip. It made the miles fly by!! First I'll say... the author/narrator did a fantastic job!! I'd listen to her read a book any day! The story started off with a bang, but then dragged out for a good while. I became a little impatient for something to happen. But once it did, the ride began. Overall it was fun and exciting and once it got geared up it was a great read! I'll look for more of her books...especially any that she reads!

Historia
We expect our judges to be honest and wise. Their integrity and impartiality are the bedrock of the entire judicial system. We trust them to ensure fair trials, to protect the rights of all litigants, to punish those who do wrong, and to oversee the orderly and efficient flow of justice. But what happens when a judge bends the law or takes a bribe? It’s rare, but it happens. Lacy Stoltz is an investigator for the Florida Board on Judicial Conduct. She is a lawyer, not a cop, and it is her job to respond to complaints dealing with judicial misconduct.

Couldn't make it through the whole audible book.
Revisado: 11-29-16
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I usually love John Grisham books but this one felt different. And actually once I gave up listening to it on Audible and just read the book in my own voice it got better.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
The ending was fine...
What didn’t you like about Cassandra Campbell’s performance?
This was the primary problem!! I couldn't stand the readers voice. She gave the lead character a pathetic childish breathy voice of a fragile wimp. And the subtle adjustment in voice for each character was just sad. Now that I know her name, I will not purchase another audible book that she reads. I honestly don't want to hurt her feelings, but it was awful! Once I just read the book it made better sense and I enjoyed the story.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Just read the book...

Not for me
Revisado: 10-02-16
Honestly, I couldn't make it past the first 45 minutes. The descriptions of everything was just too tedious. I love a good descriptive story, but get the story going, for Heavens sake!
