Each chapter provides insight into topics such as adoption, race, love, parenthood, spirituality, sisterhood, and loss. The overarching theme of resilience and perseverance amongst hardship, leaves the reader with hope that miracles are not only possible, but real.

Honest and Relatable

Mixed Up with Me took me on a full journey of not only adoption but, true family dynamics with all the good and bads, highs and lows. The author allowed for you to sit in the moments with her and feel your own emotions while she held hers. It was a great read and I would recommend for anyone that wants to see a POV on adoption or someone starting their family journey.
