We have us a Navy Seals Hero which is better than just regular heroes but this is twice as awesome since his name is Hero! I could not get over how sweet and just swoonable Hero was! I really loved Sage though! A strong and fierce heroine is where it’s always at for me though. Sometimes I think I crush on them more than the guys! I love Sage’s gutsiness. She’s not afraid to put herself out there. But not even she is immune to Hero’s charm. They might have had a strong attraction right off the bat. They didn’t let that rule over them. In fact, they built a solid and great friendship before developing anything more.

I just love this series by Chelle Bliss. I love how well developed all the family members are. I really love getting to ‘see’ how previous couples are from past books. That’s seriously one of my favorite things about listening to books that are #14 in a series. You really start to develop feelings for them as well. The narrators, Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais, did an amazing job at being these characters to life. Crais was a seriously amazing Hero. He sounded strong and fierce but had a soft, kind heart. Brentmoor did great as well. I feel like Sage was a bit more complex than Hero and she really portrayed that perfectly! Fabulous narration!

Broken Arrow by Chelle Bliss was such a quick listen. Seriously, I flew threw this story and didn't even realize it was over, until it was over. Annie is the main character. She starts off and you might see that she's a bit timid. She's very scared and nervous. I get it, she's receiving these vague, scary notes. She doesn't know where they're coming from. She just knows that someone is coming into her private area. They are violating her home, albeit a temporary home, while she's in college. She seeks out a private investigator... in walks Arrow. Arrow has an office in that same complex where the biker gang have a garage and there's a dog babysitting as well. Annie immediately feels at ease and safe with Arrow. He immediately fights an attraction with him. He also feels very protective of her.

It's weird, I didn't feel like Arrow was as alpha-maleish as I'm used to with Chelle Bliss's books. I liked him, I liked Annie. I wanted more... UMPH from him. I really loved Annie though. She is a strong female lead and really show it after the opening scenes. The narrators, Lance Greenfield and Kirsten Leigh did a great job bringing the characters to life. Greenfield was great at bringing Arrow to life and really developing his personality. Leigh was awesome! I felt like her voice really brought a bit more to Annie's character. I saw her as more than a timid college student struggling to make it on her own. Leigh seriously made this character brilliant!

I know a lot of people think that a 3-star rating is not the best. That isn’t how I judge books. My 5-star rated books are ones that truly rocked me. Ones that I might buy a paperback of, a story I might reread. 4-star books are fabulous. I enjoyed them a lot. 3-star rating is the book was good. I enjoyed it but probably would read it again and/or sing its praises. There were some annoying things but overall, I enjoyed the book. That’s where I am at with When I Fall by J Daniels. It’s a fine story but nothing exemplary in my opinion.

Now, the story itself, Reed and Beth were pretty cute together. One thing that I found kind of off-putting about the story was that Reed was your total playboy. While I’m ok with that, it was more how Beth was incredibly naive and sweet. He was the total opposite for a minute. That bugged me. I felt the switch over was so quick and didn’t feel authentic. Let me just say, what he lacked in personality he made up in the bedroom. This boy was a K-I-N-K! I didn’t exactly see that coming but was pleased that Daniels gave us something so naughty.

I’m not sure I’ve read J. Daniels before this book. I liked a lot of this story and most of it being the narration by Stella Bloom and Eric Michael Summerer. Daniels did throw in some really great zingers and one liners and the narrators really threw them out fabulously. Both Bloom and Summerer did a great job bringing these characters to life. I normally listen to my books out loud as I’m cleaning or just doing stuff around the house and the kink level in this one made me search quickly for some earbuds so people couldn’t hear the naughtiness seeping from my phone. The narrators really stepped that up too! H-A-W-T!!!!

We go back to Torskethrope with Lilly and Keller. I really just adore Lilly. She’s probably my favorite thing about this entire story. She doesn’t loose who she is even though she’s stepping up and is about to get married and get more responsibilities like popping out some babies. She carries her responsibilities with some nerves but with grace. Keller is on another level this go around with his insecurities. This man is a mess. He’s trying to juggle it all but he’s really struggling with marrying the future Queen. He feels like he is marrying above his station and feels like his parents wouldn’t support him if he was alive. With his grappling with imposter syndrome, it must be the perfect time for a threat to come after them. There are two primary questions recurring in this story… is Lilly and Keller’s love enough? If so, will they even make it to their wedding alive?

Royally in Trouble is probably the lowest I have ever rated a Megan Quinn book and that’s still sitting at 3.5 stars. It’s very rare that MQ gives us a sequel to a couple. We might get glimpses of them in other books but RiT was a complete follow up to Royally Not Ready and picks up right from the ending. I don’t know but there was just something I didn’t LOVE about this story. It was good, it was ok, but it wasn’t her usual 5-star romance. RiT was narrated by the talented Samantha Brentmoor, John Hartley, and features James Joseph. They were fabulous at bring this story to life. I really feel Brentmoor as Lilly. Lilly is a bit outlandish. She’s a wild child and is working hard to reign that in for this installment. Hartley is the only narrator that can play Keller. He brings this uptight feeling to the room. He can be stuffy and crass but is weak for Lilly. They really bring this story to life for me.

I really just LOVE single father romances. Seeing dads that are just smitten with their kiddos makes my heart entirely TOO happy! I really liked the ASL aspect of this story. It’s eye-opening to bring things in like this that I’m not exactly aware of. I really enjoyed Phoebe and Olivia (the daughter) together. They were sweet. Phoebe really respects the ASL community. Even though Asher wasn’t feeling Phoebe as the nanny at first, there couldn’t have been a better nanny out there for her. THEN the relationship that Asher had with Olivia’s mom was so refreshing to see. It’s just nice to see people putting a child in front of their own needs.

The narration of Forbidden Hearts was flawless. Zachary Webber and Desiree Ketchum sounded amazing together. Some how this 9 hour and 23 minutes did not FEEL like over 9 hours. The time just flew by and I was captivated by them, the story, just all of it. It consumed me the entire time.

AL Jackson is one of my top favorite authors. She’s probably in my top 5 favorite authors. Love Me Today has two of my favorite genres in it… small town and single father romance. If you look through my reviews, I’m sure you’ll see several are of these same genres. Paisley is looking to restore her dream of working with horses again. She might has put her dreams aside for the last bit while he let her ex follow his dreams. She’s now ready to find herself again. This is how she meets Caleb and Evelyn. Evelyn is desperately wanting to learn to ride a horse. Against Caleb’s better judgement, he hires Paisley. He immediately wants her. He isn’t alone though; Paisley is just as wanton as Caleb is.

Paisley falls for Evelyn’s sweetness right away. Evelyn’s quiet, it’s clear to Paisley that her heart is aching. She’s wondering about the missing mom that no one talks about. Not only is Evelyn quiet but Caleb also seems to have something going on. He gives new-meaning to being over-protective. He’s over-bearing. He’s aloft. However, it’s clear that he would move heaven and Earth for Evelyn. So why does he keep his distance? It’s all a mystery to Paisley. The narration by Joe Arden and Andi Arndt gave one of the best performances. I could not get enough of this story. I mean, it’s nearly 11 hours long and I finished it in one day. Arden was perfect as Caleb. He can come off hard and fierce, it was the perfect tone for Caleb. Arndt is one of my all-time favorite narrators. She fully encompasses Paisley and all her characteristics. I really didn’t want this one to end!

Runaway Love by Melanie Harlow was incredible! She writes the best small town, single parent romances out there! There’s just enough heartache to get you by the heart but not too much that you don’t spend a bit chunk of time laughing at the outlandishness that are her main characters. Veronica was a handful! That opening scene has me folded over in stitches! She wasted too much time on a jerk and is ready to finally go live her life. She’s ready to finally be herself again, and herself is wild! She’s spontaneous, she’s a bit of chaos, she has this incredibly spunky personality. She winds up on Austin’s door (very serious Austin) in her wedding dress. She’s looking for a job and he needs a nanny for his twins. It’s a match-made in Heaven, just neither of them realizes it right away.

Harlow really pulled me in with this story. I was through it within two days. The kids were adorable. Owen and Adelaide were the most adorable kiddos. They immediately took too Veronica and she immediately took to them. Austin, however, he was ALL OVER Veronica but he fights it. He doesn’t want it. But really, does he have a chance against Veronica? The narration by Sebastian York and Sophie Daniels were just as incredible as the characters in the story. Is there anything York doesn’t knock out of the park with that awesome voice of his? He was fabulous bringing Austin to life and really bringing that uptight, structured man to life. Daniels was amazing as Veronica. How do you bring this scattered woman who is trying to reinvent herself to life? I don’t really know but Daniels does it! I loved the audiobook.

I’m not a huge MM romance reader. Nothing wrong with MM. I just can’t imagine myself in the woman’s spot since there is no woman. So I don’t go there often. I have a few authors that I dabble in MM with. Lauren Blakely is one of them. I don’t need to imagine myself as the woman. I am a voyeur in this show and I don’t even mind! Hunter and Nate meet in the best of ways! I love pie being thrown in the face! It was all adorable and I knew that these two men were about to win me over and have me rooting for them, big time! Hunter may not know what he’s doing but he knows he wants Nate and he’s down to show it. Nate is a bit more protective. He’s recently gotten out of a bad relationship and isn’t ready for more.

I just love the way Lauren Blakely develops characters. I know a lot of people play games and aren’t mature in relationships… it’s why I’m still widowed and not even interested in the dating pool yet. Hunter and Nate are mature. They tell each other as it is. They end up really coming through for the other and I am here for it! The audiobook is just amazing. The narrators, Teddy Hamilton and James Joseph were OFF THE CHARTS! I seriously could not get enough of them as Nate and Hunter. They brought these men to life and I was swooning left and right over them!! I’m so happy I didn’t pass on this MM romance. If these two narrated all the MM romance I would probably convert!

Lord have mercy! Lauren Blakely’s The Tryst was insanely hot! I really enjoy single dad romances and this one wasn’t quite what I expected. Normally we’re thinking little kids, right? Nick is Layla’s ex-boyfriend’s DAD! Yes, I said dad! Nick was daddy to a college graduate! So, yea, he’s a single dad but we’ve also got us an Age-Gap romance that would NOT quit! The Tryst had the ability to be completely immature and lose me. However, Blakely did NOT go the way most authors would have gone here. Layla and Nick COMMUNICATED with each other. It was so mature, like a relationship should be. I loved it and could not get enough of these two!

Blakely has a way of writing a romance. It’s insanely hot but as they are getting their sexy times, Blakely has them also getting to know each other. This isn’t just a superficial relationship that will end with the book closes. I even adored David, Nick’s son. I would love to see David get his girl in the end too! He was also graceful and mature. It made me want to buy all the Lauren Blakely books! The narration just added to the awesomeness that was this audio. Vanessa Edwin and Teddy Hamilton, can really do no wrong with they are narrating a story. The breath air into every book but I really enjoyed them as Layla and Nick.
