Time and great effort are needed to repair the cracks, to seal the warping and to rebuild, but the world after the fall isn't somewhere anyone can afford to wait around in. Matt and his people must push on, they must grow, they have to rise up if they are to have any chance of surviving.

Nice Apocalypse story

Neil is awesome as always. The only issue about the story is the use of your "Stats" or as I like to call them "Spread Sheets". When i cannot skip them, I know some of the math and other types of Geeks love that information. I however only want to hear what is the most important that will move the story also as I don't want to get lost in numbers. I would love a way to skip that parts and not lose the thread of the story as I noticed that sometimes in the middle of the "Spread Sheet" you give a bit of the story and then I am a bit lost and then have to listen to numbers so I can catch the 1 or 2 sentences that are in the random spot of the listings.
Sorry for that bit of a rant, I would highly recommend the story! But please do start at book one of the series.

No humor all politic and planning

The reading by Stefan Rudnicki is outstanding as always. The story does seem to drag a bit and is a bit predictable. However no humor make for a dull story in my experience. The political maneuvering to put the prince in this position was a bit pedantic for me. If you like that military and politics good book for you. Just not much humor.

story was very juvenile.

The story was very juvenile and became very repetitive. The story could have gone in so much more yet it stalled with the main character not progressing into the hero that was being alluded to. With all the narrative being predictable and not moving forward. The main character is not gaining much confidence after each fight. In a main fight he then is running away half way through. The author does not seem to grasp much about multiple participation in a fight. Author sets up a fight then only 2 of the 5 people are in the fight, Odd. Buy at your own risk this book series I will not be buying the next.

All Steve knows is that he’s apparently supposed to build a farm. At least that’s his only workable assumption. Given the number of farm-tools left to him. That and the massive number of sacks full of seeds. Unfortunately, this isn’t even the strangest part of this new life. Hidden inside the farm tools, Steve finds messages. Messages that appear in floating windows in front of him.

While the story is a fairly good story and it moves along well. The harem and pornographic situations in the story are a bit much. I think there should be a better warning for persons not expecting that explicit materials.
