For most of the audio performance is excellent. This book will be confusing if you don't come in with some knowledge of The Bible, Jungian theory, and mythology (and maybe some Terrence McKenna). You really need to know mythology and have an appreciation for what myths contribute to man's exploration of the self. Otherwise you will think it's crazy ramblings or some fantasy story.
Essentially with that understanding first, this book is Jung's story of how he developed a mythical representation of his unconscious mind.
I would also suggest you do some personality test like the Five Type model so you can get an idea of your relative openness. I believe being a highly open person will give you more from this book.
Beyond that, you can adopt Jung's approach to understanding the unconscious mind by writing out conversations as if you were asking yourself or your intuition for the answer. That's basically what happens in this book.
Combined with a real life guru, if you know anybody, could be most helpful. Or imagine a guru appearing in your dreams, then as them for help in understanding. I also feel this book would be helpful for anyone interested in Native American medicine which includes what we call in the west, a vision quest. Thats also a good explanation of what Jung is writing about in this book.
Be forewarned, this is not a book that explains theory or psychology, perhaps read Jung's collected works for that.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I have been researching this topic for some time and I would recommend people first seekout dowsing groups who publish all the material you will need for much less money. I personally bought this on a credit, so essentially paid $15 for the course. It's not worth $30 as advertised, it's barely worth $15. It's probably worth $9.99 that would be a fair price for the content. I would recommend someone first search for free downloads of the materials called "Letter to Robin." The Devine Database is full of a lot of fluff talk to make it sound full of information, but most of it is not insightful or useful to the listener.

Would you recommend The Divine Database to your friends? Why or why not?

Audible is reiterating the same question here. So I'll give the same answer: I would not recommend the book because it is overpriced and contains a lot of fluff. Instead I would recommend searching for "Letter to Robin" on the internet and any free materials produced by dowsing groups.

What does Doni Schultz bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Doni Schultz is a charismatic speaker with a lot of stories and convincing almost hypnotic language. For example she is speaking to an audience in her speech and she convinces people that she is reading the amount of aura that is being projected by their spirit. She uses a lot of compliments to reinforce compliance with her concepts. It is very typical of mystics and so-called gurus in presentations like this where the audience is required to compromise their reasoning skills. I don't really think she is very believable. Read some books on "cold reading" to see some of the techniques she is using in the speech.

Did The Divine Database inspire you to do anything?

It inspired me to seek out more information as this was lacking certain depth.

Any additional comments?

Lower the price to less than $10, the $30 price is overpriced and not worth it.

you'll learn how to feel, afew exercises, her voice is a little quiet sometimes. A few stories about how others experienced self-acceptance training. there's not a lot of resources that you can find about this method but this book is a good overview. I wish there was more, but this short book could help you learn to feel what is blocking you from experiencing better self-esteem.

this is the best book on dieting you will ever read. it's not a rigid diet of counting & measuring. the concept is super simple. there is an extra chapter at the end of the audio book with an interview segment with the author.

also the book is read by someone with a good, clear, voice. Many other books on Audible have quiet readers.
