If this book is intended to help people who live or know someone with BPD, it does not. It made me feel nothing but doom & gloom.

Historia
It is the 14th century, and one of the most apocalyptic events in human history is set to occur - the coming of the Black Death. History teaches us that a third of Europe's population was destroyed. But what if the plague had killed 99 percent of the population instead? How would the world have changed? This is a look at the history that could have been - a history that stretches across centuries, a history that sees dynasties and nations rise and crumble, a history that spans horrible famine and magnificent innovation.

Started off okay

The segue into the next chapter was juvenile in book one. Interesting story at first. Book two was so dry and boring I couldn’t stand to listen anymore.

Terrible Book
Revisado: 08-10-17
This book was so bad I could not listen to the stupidity anymore. Sometimes I don't mind a poorly written book for background noise as I am walking. This was so annoying I could not listen anymore. Sounds like a 10 year old wrote this.

Historia
Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

The story could have been better. It sounded like the author was in a crunch to finish a book. The performance was really bad. The performer had a pleasant voice but not for different characters.

Historia
Tenley "Ten" Lockwood is an average 17-year-old girl...who has spent the past 13 months locked inside the Prynne Asylum. The reason? Not her obsession with numbers but her refusal to let her parents choose where she'll live - after she dies. There is an eternal truth most of the world has come to accept: Firstlife is merely a dress rehearsal, and real life begins after death.

Boring
Revisado: 03-11-16
What would have made Firstlife better?
Nothing.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Not sure.
How could the performance have been better?
The performance was okay.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Irritation
Any additional comments?
I really tried to get into this story. But the longer it went on the worse it got. I was driving in a snowstorm and had to turn the book off because the longer it went on the more irritable I became.

Historia
The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

Slooowwwww Moving
Revisado: 03-21-15
This would not be high on my recommendations list. Actually it would be at the very end. Lots of twists in the plot, unfortunately, kind of predictable... But so slow and very dry. Might be best to listen to The Girl on the Train during a long ride through a snow storm. You can pay close attention to the road, not really hear what is happening for 5 or 10 minutes, and come back to listening again without missing a beat.
