We're getting the band back together.
Revisado: 01-21-20
This last few books have bounced around time but all including this one are full of things that made me crack up laughing. Good action and good imagination as things seem to twist making the "small world effect " seem present in the story. Stop reading reviews and just get on with it. You wont be sorry. Im just loving this series again. and Mr Kafer still has the voice for this. Glad hes still doing this series. One of the best.

Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

Very good.
Revisado: 01-28-17
What made the experience of listening to The Martian the most enjoyable?
This is such a mix of modern sci fi,comedy and adventure.
What other book might you compare The Martian to and why?
Its in a class by itself
What about R. C. Bray’s performance did you like?
I really enjoy his voice. Plus he makes the characters come alive.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Man did I laugh. Im a bit of a science geek but very mechanical,so the adventure kept me thinking. Many things in the story seemed to be explained factually. But it kept you guessing.
Any additional comments?
Just get it. I didnt see the movie but if it was have as entertaining as the book it must be great.

Revisado: 01-08-17
What did you love best about Cataclysm?
I like the way it bounces around and sometimes overlaps different groups of people. Some reviews say its not appreciated but i like the twists and cross ups with the differnt people. shows talent especially when you throw in all the action.
What did you like best about this story?
Action packed story.
Which character – as performed by R. C. Bray – was your favorite?
Predator by far. Mostly because I am big and scary too so we have something in common. I like alli too. I am a sniper too.I appreciate perfection in shooting.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
all of em ARE. I missed my bedtime way too many times through these. I just cant stop sometimes. Go Go Go leaves no stopping places.
Any additional comments?

Revisado: 12-25-16
First the stories are just action packed. I keep forgetting the time and staying up to late. Second RC BRAY is a great narrator. I listened to several books by him before i stumbled on this series. I was very glad to find he was the Narrator. So I am a fan. This particular book barely gives me a break to rest. I couldnt shut it off. This series is only my second zombie apoc series. I am enjoying this imensly and this book is no let down. Buy it read it. Pray they dont stop. These are my first books by Michael Stephen Fuchs. Guy is good writer. Im pretty familiar with alot of things military and Engineering savie. I have a little medical smarts too. This guy does his homework. Im quite impressed. There have been a few mistakes along the way about vehicles but I have forgiven them. I have a masters in Automotive technologies so I see things a little different than the average person. But read them. Love them. I cant wait to get to my books every night. Hope you feel the same.

Revisado: 05-08-16
I have never read any zombie stomper type stories. I thought Id give the first book a try because the sample seemed inviting. It made me curious. Ive been through them all. It seemed happy endings can happen. It was kind of realistic but the author didnt go for your squim trigger to hard. Im not a horror guy but I liked the way we are lowered into it easily through out the series. This last book was all over the place at first then it pulled everything from all the books together. Read it. Start with the first and take in the whole series. I will be looking into other Blackmore writings now.

Historia
In the 20th century Earth sent probes, transmissions, and welcoming messages to the stars. Unfortunately, someone noticed. The Galactics arrived with their battle fleet in 2052. Rather than being exterminated under a barrage of hell-burners, Earth joined their vast Empire. Swearing allegiance to our distant alien overlords wasn't the only requirement for survival. We also had to have something of value to trade, something that neighboring planets would pay their hard-earned credits to buy. As most of the local worlds were too civilized to have a proper army, the only valuable service Earth could provide came in the form of soldiers....

Revisado: 05-08-16
I was looking for a filler book. Just something to read till some of my other writers produced. I was pleasantly suprized that this story line was rather interesting. It kind of grabbed me and I lost sleep this week listening to it longer than I should. Its a good military story. The design was believable. I liked the authors ideas.

I usually listen to fantasy or scifi but not horror or thriller type stuff. This story set eases you in with a "get used to it " story line. I actually enjoyed it. Though a little graphic at times it wasnt a hard listen. The narrator really played it right.I really enjoyed the trilogy.I am moving to the next book now.

For a thousand years the ash fell and no flowers bloomed. For a thousand years the Skaa slaved in misery and lived in fear. For a thousand years the Lord Ruler, the "Sliver of Infinity," reigned with absolute power and ultimate terror, divinely invincible. On the suggestion of a loved one.
Revisado: 08-07-13
As s science fiction and fantasy goes it is a little different idea of a story but similar in many ways to work already done. There are a few twists to keep your interests. The style of chaptering feels like it was borrowed from other authors I have read. It could have presented new characters and happenings in a little better way ,though the ideas of the characters is presented pretty well into the story line. The characters were well defined. Overall It was an enjoyable read. Im curious towards the rest of the series but other books are tempting me to hold for a while and come back to it. It was exciting at times and will make your imagination work to invision the happenings as the story unfolds. The narrator was ok but I think his deep voice detracted from the female charactors a tiny bit. Read it and you wont be wasting your money. My son was thrilled by it. Hes 27,very intelligent and active physically. and he loves super heroes still. So heroes against oppression is right up his alley. He loved it. Hope I helped your decision.

The downside to faking your own death is that people tend to get upset when they find out they’ve been had. In Atticus O’Sullivan’s case, they’re upset enough to come after him to make sure he dies for real this time. Yet he can’t remain in hiding anymore: He has to bind his apprentice, Granuaile, to the earth so that she can become the first new Druid in centuries.

Revisado: 04-04-13
It was a little different as in that it seemed like another section in the life story more than its own adventure. It was its own adventure though . Maybe I was hoping for more. The idea was good. . I still gave it a 5 star rating though. I was not unsatisfied . Its been too long between books for me and I got into some other worlds. Luke Daniels still tells it great.Kevin still planned it well. Read it . Tell em Ronnie sent you.

Revisado: 01-11-13
It just doesnt seem to have the same old
pern in it.Todd seems to be a good enough writer but there seems to be a definite change in the sexuality of these books. A vaguely little mention of maybe two fellows hooking up in Annes pern has turned into a 60s commune like attitudein these continueing series. There is more on the pages than Annes good ole Pern. I just read the reviews of the last two books in this series and there seems to be a continuance of this type of change in the books." Im sorry Anne but my interest in your beloved Pern is waning. Everywhere I look nowadays there is this stentch of political agendas and now it has arrived at Pern . Todd I too miss your mother.
