Pretty good thriller. Slow at the start yet you can't make yourself quit or rush forward. BZ Mr. Grisham, Ms. Parker!

Historia
We expect our judges to be honest and wise. Their integrity and impartiality are the bedrock of the entire judicial system. We trust them to ensure fair trials, to protect the rights of all litigants, to punish those who do wrong, and to oversee the orderly and efficient flow of justice. But what happens when a judge bends the law or takes a bribe? It’s rare, but it happens. Lacy Stoltz is an investigator for the Florida Board on Judicial Conduct. She is a lawyer, not a cop, and it is her job to respond to complaints dealing with judicial misconduct.

Historia
Seth Hubbard is a wealthy man dying of lung cancer. He trusts no one. Before he hangs himself from a sycamore tree, Hubbard leaves a new, handwritten, will. It is an act that drags his adult children, his Black maid, and Jake into a conflict as riveting and dramatic as the murder trial that made Brigance one of Ford County's most notorious citizens, just three years earlier. The second will raises far more questions than it answers. Why would Hubbard leave nearly all of his fortune to his maid? Had chemotherapy and painkillers affected his ability to think clearly?

Revisado: 05-18-18
Well, good thing it is digital because I would have worn out an LP by now! The narration is excellent, the story and the perspective are relatable to the "everyman". I listen to parts of this book over and over again each week. I never get bored and, like watching my favorite movie repeatedly, I realize something about the story that I did not understand before!
If you like having the "mysteries" of Wall Street and the U.S.A. financial system de-mystified at your leisure, this is the book for you!!!!

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Absolutely the best F*ck*ng book on the subject!
Revisado: 10-15-17
I've read many a "live better/happy/blessed" books in the last 10 years! None more so than in the last three years after going into a deep medical diagnose depression two years ago. But this one is the BEST!
It's funny, yet serious, but tells the real truth about what you should do to determine when use your precious time on this planet for! I listen to parts almost twice a week while driving to work near BWI, and almost always get a good belly laugh out of the story or out of the narration.
There's a couple of parts that seem to be out of sympatico with the title, but hey - who gives a f*ck righ?!! (smile).
The title is catchy and misleading in a good kind of way. Unless you are really curious or Repubpious (yeah I made it up and you'll get the joke or you won't) you won't try to read it! But if you do you won't be disappointed!
It's like a having a rowdy Jimney Cricket on your shoulder who says, "Do you really need to care about this particular sh*t in the grand scheme of life?". You know, like something some self-serving moron just said about your work, or the ugliest person in the room commenting on how ugly someone else is. Nah, there's better ways to spend your seconds, minutes, hours...you get it don't you.
The book makes me think of the MasterCard commercial of a few years ago. X=$0.00, Y=$0.00, what really matters in my life - PRICELESS! (FOTFLMFAO)
Obviously I've taken the title to heart - but seriously this is a wonderful read and a great addition to my library.
Many thanks to both the author and the narrator for this work!

Historia
With one notable exception, the firms that make up what we know as Wall Street have always been part of an inbred, insular culture that most people only vaguely understand. The exception was Merrill Lynch, a firm that revolutionized the stock market by bringing Wall Street to Main Street. Merrill Lynch was an icon. Its sudden decline, collapse, and sale to Bank of America was a shock. How did it happen? Why did it happen?
