I wanted to love it
Revisado: 07-17-23
I hung in there for a while, but it was just too slow. I liked the characters, but nothing happened and I had to give up.

Narration not great
Revisado: 10-14-22
Story was ok, but the narration made it confusing as to who was who. I think at one point she called a character the wrong name.

Jess needs a fresh start. She’s broke and alone, and she’s just left her job under less than ideal circumstances. Her half-brother Ben didn’t sound thrilled when she asked if she could crash with him for a bit, but he didn’t say no, and surely everything will look better from Paris. Only when she shows up – to find a very nice apartment, could Ben really have afforded this? – he’s not there.

Did not like any of the characters
Revisado: 04-09-22
All the characters are most unpleasant! I don’t even want to finish it. I really wanted to like it.

Historia
Superintendent Runcorn (Anne Perry fans will remember him as William Monk's ex-boss) is feeling rather lonely during his holiday on the remote, snowy island of Anglesey, off the northern coast of Wales. However, he is suddenly called into action when the sister of the local vicar is discovered murdered and draped over a gravestone in her brother's churchyard.

Disjointed plot
Revisado: 11-10-21
The story itself made leaps without the listener’s knowledge. The plot just kept on going without any real character actions. The language was pretty and the overarching message was clear, but that is about it. The story had absolutely nothing to do with Christmas, other than it seem to take place in late December.

Incredulous
Revisado: 07-28-21
Good story, but the word incredulous is used way too much! Also, I don’t know why G is so cheap. Her house is paid off.

I am actually mad I read it
Revisado: 12-21-19
Nothing but 99 chapters of a woman complaining about work. The bad guy was even boring!!! I thought I had missed parts of it when I got to the end, but no it was just over. I'll never get the time back that I wasted on it!
