The story line was grabbing and grabbing. By the end it was a bit corny. This book could have taken so many turns to make the ending stronger. I’m glad I read it.

It’s Ok To Be Uncomfortable

I enjoyed the message in this book. The writing style was some times hard to follow but the information was interesting and appreciated. The book spiked a lot of conversation during book club. We ended the discussion with if it makes you uncomfortable, remember that it’s ok to be uncomfortable!

Small Twists

Nice read! This book had many of the things that we knew happened to people in the time period. It also contained the typical classists families but threw in a few curve balls. The story also included some of my favorite literary elements like switching speakers and time periods. I’m glad this book was chosen for book club! I enjoyed it. When it comes to performancers, Celine’s reader was great but Aura’s reader’s voice was annoying!

I’m Not Sure Yet

I liked Charlie. The story line itself wasn’t bad. The people from them town seemed tragic. It was weird when it would switch from Charlie speaking to all characters speaking. I’m still not sure how I felt about the book as a whole. It had some tricks and turns that kept me going.

I like this group of flawed detectives! They are a bit corny but I enjoy the characters and the story line. It’s a good quick read when I want something funny but captivating. I like how the women are flawed but seem to grow. I’d read another from this series. The performances are also on point and make all the difference! Characters are believable.

Too Predictable!

I wanted to like this book but it was too predictable and the characters were stereotypical. The wife talked too much and was annoying. I finished the book because I wanted to be wrong. I thought something else would happen. This book is a no for me! I hated when the woman performer tried to speak in a males voice. She sounded horrible and it took away from the story.

This was a quick funny read that read more like a screen play than a novel. It was far from the best literary piece that I read but I couldn’t put it down. I enjoyed it! The characterization was well done. Chrissy Romero and the Wolf were my favorite. They made me laugh out loud! The relationship between the women was also refreshing. Everyone had flaws! They came together, supported each other, and got things done.

I enjoyed the sections on funding education, investments, and retirement. The other sections seemed too much for someone with a family or maybe just too much for me. I’m glad I kept reading past the suggestions of riding a bike for transportation. I did take notes and will share some of the information given. I like how easy it was to get through this book. I’d recommend for younger people.
