It's a long book with a very slow and tedious beginning. I don't know how many times I almost returned the book, but I am very glad I didn't give up on it. The last 2/3 of the book is actually really good! A fitting conclusion to the series.

What about Angela Dawe’s performance did you like?

She is a really great narrator and I enjoy listening to her, but I do have to say that there isn't enough pauses between chapters and changes in scenes. A small break to indicate a situational change would really help with understanding and the overall flow of the story.

The series is really addicting. I love how there is so much more to the books than just sex. The story line is solid and intriguing. I want to know more about this society almost as much as I want to know more about these characters. I will however say that the series is getting a bit repetitive. Strong Alpha male, "weak" confused female, danger and then a nice happy ending to wrap everything up. I will definitely keep reading these books, though I may take a break for a while.

It's a truly engaging and suspenseful story. Full of questions. A very unique dystopian world.

I agree that that this is Morton's best book yet. The Forgotten Garden was also fabulous, but with this book I found the mystery a little harder to puzzle out on my own. It wasn't quite as obvious where this story was going as it was with the Forgotten Garden. A love how she is able to weave her tales together through time and history. Definitely a suspenseful and charming story of family secrets.

Stick with it till the end

O.K. So, the beginning of the book had me worried. It felt like Dashner was trying way too hard to make it action packed and mysterious. It was just too much too fast, but once the story slowed down a bit, everything that made "The Maze Runner" great reappeared. It's not quite as good as the first book, but still a quality story full of questions. I can only hope that after all this build up the third book is a satisfying ending that supplies some answers.

It has its moments...

The book is slightly intriguing. Its written as a journal and therefore; does not read like a normal novel. There are moments in the book which are great and put you on edge, but there are also a lot of moments that fall very flat. I think its a book that you have to listen to more than once, unfortunately, I don't know if the book is good enough to do such. The story has great potential, but...

Too Short....

I just finished reading Dreamfever and truly enjoyed it, except that it was far too short. The ending is so annoying!!! Yet again KMM leaves you the reader with a massive cliff-hanger for an finale. I can't wait for the release of Shadowfever so that I can get my next fix of this gripping story. Definitely think twice before walking away from the fever series.
