Historia
In 1992, the deadliest year in Chicago’s history, seven-year-old Dantrell Davis was shot and killed in front of his elementary school inside the public housing complex Cabrini-Green. What happened to Dantrell led to a truce among Chicago’s gangs, but it also ignited a national panic about poverty and violence in America’s cities. Dantrell’s name would soon be used to demolish all of Chicago’s high-rise public housing, displacing tens of thousands of low-income families.

Good story telling
Revisado: 01-09-25
Historical fictions are easy to digest amongst the terrible facts. This is all I have to say but I am being told to write more. Facts.

Historia
More than 60 years ago, William S. Burroughs and Jack Kerouac, two novice writers at the dawn of their careers, sat down to write a novel about the summer of 1944, when one of their friends killed another in a moment of brutal and tragic bloodshed. Alternating chapters, they pieced together a hard-boiled tale of bohemian New York during World War II, full of drugs and obsession, art and violence.

Based on a true story!! Reveal at the end. I recommend speed of 1.3-1.5 so it less stuffy.

Historia
Black girls and women disappear every day, but not without a trace. Join actress and activist Erika Alexander in a neo-noir, true crime drama as she searches for Tamika Huston, a 24-year-old Black woman from Spartanburg, SC who went missing in 2004. Her case became a rallying cry for other missing Black women in America and led to a growing demand to expose a system that ignores missing girls and women of color.

Thank you for telling Tamika’s story
Revisado: 03-12-22
I really wanted to love this podcast, but all the music killed me! Like half of it is music. Not great music either. The forward forward flashbacks need work too. No one finished statements. Everyone was interrupted by another thought.
Sorry to the family for all of their trauma. RIP Tamika
