Historia
Fleetwood Mac's classic 1977 Rumours album topped the Billboard 200 for 31 weeks and won the Album of the Year Grammy. More recently, Rolling Stone named it the 25th greatest album of all time and the hit TV series Glee devoted an entire episode to songs from Rumours, introducing it to a new generation. Now, for the first time, Ken Caillat, the album's co-producer, tells the full story of what really went into making Rumours.

Historia
Whenever we worry about what to eat, how to love, or simply how to be happy, we are worrying about how to lead a good life. No goal is more elusive. In How to Be a Stoic, philosopher Massimo Pigliucci offers Stoicism, the ancient philosophy that inspired the great emperor Marcus Aurelius, as the best way to attain it. Stoicism is a pragmatic philosophy that teaches us to act depending on what is within our control and separate things worth getting upset about from those that are not.

Needs editing. Wordy. Almost like a diary. Too much filler.
Revisado: 03-31-18
The author wraps nice discussion of stoicism with ramblings about this and that and too many personal stories. Almost like a professor trying to publish a long book.
Disappointing after a Guide to The Good Life and reading Epictitus directly.

Historia
Why have history's greatest minds - from George Washington to Frederick the Great to Ralph Waldo Emerson along with today's top performers, from Super Bowl-winning football coaches to CEOs and celebrities - embraced the wisdom of the ancient Stoics? Because they realize that the most valuable wisdom is timeless and that philosophy is for living a better life, not a classroom exercise. The Daily Stoic offers a daily devotional of Stoic insights and exercises, featuring all-new translations.

Did not like the overly dramatic reading
Revisado: 03-04-18
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The quotes were read with a "theatre camp" voice that sounded like it was a comedy poking fun at shakespeare. All I could think of was "Acting. I am Acccttiiiinnnngggg" when the quotes were read. Totally over the top dramatic voiceiover work. Should have really toned it down for the a Stoic book.
Any additional comments?
Unfotunately, the performance took away from the content. Guide to a Good Life is much better option than this book.
