Historia
Jill and Derick knew a normal life wasn’t possible for them. As a star on the popular TLC reality show 19 Kids and Counting, Jill grew up in front of viewers who were fascinated by her family’s way of life. She was the responsible, second daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle’s nineteen kids; always with a baby on her hip and happy to wear the modest ankle-length dresses with throat-high necklines.

Power to you, Jill!
Revisado: 09-23-23
This was such a succinct but informative chronicle of Jill’s life in IBLP, on the TLC show, and beyond. I’ve learned so much from having the chancw to learn the details of her story and feel ao much compassion for her family and people in general. I’m grateful she wrote this, and am glad she finally has control over her own narrative!

Historia
By the time Effie Galanos starts her senior year, it feels like she's already been thinking about college applications for an eternity—after all, finding a college that will be the perfect fit and be accessible enough for Effie to navigate in her wheelchair presents a ton of considerations that her friends don't have to worry about. What Effie hasn't told anyone is that she already knows exactly what school she has her heart set on: a college in NYC with a major in Mass Media & Society that will set her up perfectly for her dream job in digital media.

The story I’ve been CRAVING
Revisado: 05-22-23
I sped through this book! I just couldn’t put this down and I can’t believe it’s Claire Forrest’s first novel, she writes like a seasoned YA author. The characters are the perfect mix of unique but relatable, flawed but worth rooting for. She aptly captures what the college application is really like in today’s world, and the perspective we learn from Effie as she has to consider the accessibility of college campuses is invaluable. Can’t wait for Forrest’s next novel!

Historia
Harriet and Wyn have been the perfect couple since they met in college—they go together like salt and pepper, honey and tea, lobster and rolls. Except, now—for reasons they’re still not discussing—they don’t. They broke up five months ago. And still haven’t told their best friends.

Not AS sexy as her others, but her best yet!
Revisado: 05-14-23
This book is still the classic Emily Henry formula, but a little more interior than her previous books — it’s almost like someone added just a pinch of Sally Rooney. Needless to say, I absolutely loved it. I felt every single one of the many emotions the protagonist Harriet felt, thanks to Henry’s incisive and colorful descriptions. While the flirting at times is so witty it’s borderline unrelatable, most of the relational dynamics in the friend group are robust and realistic. This is truly a great read for anyone who’s working through family drama, career uncertainty, and keeping friends close as we age.
