Historia
The Source, the natural wellspring of Magic in the world, is stretched to the breaking point. If gluttonous witchcraft and human usurpers are not curtailed, it will vanish from the Nine Realms, taking with it every legendary race, and the magical sway of all that is good in the world will disappear forever. Before that end, the gods themselves will wage a final destructive war on Creation. The quest to save Magic at all costs is at hand, and an ancient prophesy awakens.

Historia
Years after the outbreak of a mysterious pandemic, hardly any survivors are left in the quarantined wasteland of North America. Hunger and the menace of man-eaters are nothing compared to the ferals–those who were infected and mutated by the virus. The ferals have an unquenchable need to hunt and kill, and even a single bite will quickly transform human into a rabid beast. Two survivors, the pregnant Megan and her brother David, leave a deserted colony to seek a safer haven.

GREAT BOOK!
Revisado: 11-14-23
I absolutely loved this book! The story was superb, it kept me entertained and couldn't stop listening! The narrator was perfect for this book and really fit the character. I really hope this becomes a movie because it played out in my head as a perfect one as I listened. I definitely recommend to everyone who loves apocalyptic, dystopian, or creature books!

Historia
Sophia's earliest memory is of drowning. She remembers the darkness of the water and the briny taste as it filled her throat, the sensation of going under. She remembers hands pulling her back to safety. But she doesn't remember who saved her that day. The day her mother died - or so she has always believed. A mysterious call suggesting that her mother might still be alive has lured Sophia to the island of Bitter Rock, hunting for answers as elusive as her own past. But the more Sophia uncovers, the clearer it is that her mother's disappearance is just one of many.

Historia
Patricia Campbell's life has never felt smaller. Her ambitious husband is too busy to give her a goodbye kiss in the morning, her kids have their own lives, her senile mother-in-law needs constant care, and she's always a step behind on thank-you notes and her endless list of chores. The one thing she has to look forward to is her book club, a close-knit group of Charleston women united by their love of true crime and paperback fiction. At these meetings they're as likely to talk about the Manson family as they are marriage, motherhood, and neighborhood gossip.

A slow start then fast paced to the end!
Revisado: 07-08-22
I did enjoy this book, though as a Southern Woman myself, I got really aggravated with how this man author portrayed us as a whole. My mother raised my brothers and I during this same time frame as the book and neither her nor I, have ever let our husbands talk to us like a child or treat us as a child as they did in this book. Honestly, I put the book down for months because of it but went back to it after I ran out of other books to listen to. My father owned his own business and we were well off financially like the families in the book; The only difference is that we lived in Louisiana instead of on the east coast. I really wanted to punch the slimy little jerks in the face, but I believe that is how the author wanted it to be so kudos on that part. But Southern woman now days are in no way meek and obedient to their husbands evert demand as in this story. I did enjoy the ending as it helped to nullify all the bad parts before. This is a good read and the author has quite the imagination,so I do recommend this book to everyone.

Great listen for Syfy fans
Revisado: 03-17-22
I actually enjoyed this book. After reading several bad reviews, I almost didn't get it. It isn't your typical James Patterson book, but that should've been obvious to everyone who read the abstract and saw that it was syfy. That is why I bought it, because I do like Syfy and dystopian/apocalyptic fiction. I recommend to all others who do as well.
