Historia
Sasha has had it. She cannot bring herself to respond to another inane, “urgent” email or participate in the corporate employee joyfulness program. She hasn’t seen her friends in months. Sex? Seems like a lot of effort. Even cooking dinner takes far too much planning. Sasha has hit a wall. Armed with good intentions to drink kale smoothies, try yoga, and find peace, she heads to the seaside resort she loved as a child. But it’s the off season, the hotel is in a dilapidated shambles, and she has to share the beach with the only other occupant: a grumpy guy named Finn.

OMG!!! Awesome Book!
Revisado: 10-21-23
Sophie Kinsella circled right back around for another amazing book. I thoroughly enjoyed this cute story. I am currently suffering from work burnout and can totally relate. I’ve wanted to literally run away from my problems too. LOL. And Bessie Carter has just become one of my favorite narrators. Please have her back to do more of your books. Off to find more books she has narrated…

With all of the pluck and charm of its eponymous young hero, Rachel McAdams (The Notebook, Spotlight, Midnight in Paris) delivers a spectacular reading of Montgomery's beloved bildungsroman. In moments both funny and bittersweet, McAdams' voice is imbued with the spark that has made Anne a much-loved symbol of individualism and cheer for over a century.

Everyone has secrets, and Rachel Holloway is no exception. She’s worked hard to keep the past where it belongs: dead and buried. And so far, she’s been very successful. But now the small newspaper where she works wants to produce a podcast on a cold case: the disappearance 12 years ago of young Molly Forster. Some secrets should never see the light of day, and, as far as Rachel is concerned, whatever happened to little Molly is one of them.

Excellent read! Very engaging!!
Revisado: 07-15-17
I was completely surprised and shocked with this book. I had not read the cover or a summary, so I did not know anything about the storyline. This book was so captivating!! I love how "honest" Jodi made the characters. I am a black woman in my 40's and I can honestly say that this book gives true representation of how blacks view whites who are privilege but have little to no knowledge of it. GREAT JOB,
