Historia
In the idyllic town of Middle Falls, Oregon, a peculiar phenomenon unfolds—those who die but are not prepared to move on open their eyes again at a pivotal juncture in their past lives, all memories of their first life intact. That includes Hattie Kildare. After dying in 2008, Hattie awakens as a teenager in 1943, back in a world gripped by the chaos of World War II. Amidst the echoes of conflict and the specter of loss, she is reunited with Jimmy, her beloved first boyfriend lost to the war in her first life.

Historia
On a hot August night, Lt. Eve Dallas and her husband, Roarke, speed through the streets of Manhattan to the Down and Dirty club, where a joyful, boisterous pre-wedding girls’ night out has turned into a murder scene. One of the brides lies in a pool of blood, garroted in a private room where she was preparing a surprise for her fiancée—two scrimped and saved-for tickets to Hawaii. Despite the dozens of people present, useful witnesses are hard to come by. It all brings back some bad memories for Eve.

Less than meh, sadly disappointed
Revisado: 09-09-24
I have read the entire series from book 1 (in 2000 or so) and then listened when audible came out with the series but this story was disappointing and that has never happened with a Dallas / Death book for me.
I love the characters and have loved watching the "tribe" grow and evolve but this book had none of that. Just abruptly ended, no gathering at Peabody's/Mavis' place, nada.
The story line was weak with a lot of author bent narrative. Hope the next goes back to what brought me to the books in the 1st place.

Historia
After almost three years, cop-turned-naturalist Clint Nolan is beginning to think of Starfish Bay in Northern California as home. The tiny town is a world away from the tragedy he left behind in the East, and his demons and self-recriminations are subsiding. He might even consider a new romantic relationship if the right woman comes along. But Kristen Fletcher isn’t that woman. New to town, the concierge at the upscale Inn at The Point reminds him too much of his former love. He can tolerate her as a tenant, but he intends to walk a wide circle around her personally.

Historia
Buckhead isn’t a place you live, it’s a place you survive. And that applies even to the wealthy housewives that have it all. Fancy cars, designer clothes, and daily salon appointments aren’t nearly enough to keep them fulfilled and happy. Because in this town, privilege and opulence go hand in hand with betrayal and revenge. Jenny, the owner of Glow, an exclusive membership-only beauty salon, knows that better than anyone, because she knows everything about these housewives—down to each individual strand of hair.

Historia
Grace Evans, an overworked New Yorker looking for a total escape from her busy life, books an Airbnb on a ranch in the middle of Wyoming. When she arrives at the idyllic getaway, she’s pleased to find that the owner is a handsome man by the name of Calvin Wells—and he’s eager to introduce her to his easygoing way of life. But there are things Grace discovers that she’s not too pleased about: A lack of cell phone service. A missing woman. And a feeling that something isn’t right with the ranch.

Historia
It has been more than a year since society fell. The population has dwindled as a second winter has come and gone. The roaming gangs are now dug in and fortified or have died of starvation or violence. The safest place to be is inside Altor, the domed city that stands like a jewel in the Nevada desert. But it is not paradise inside the dome either. Janus, the nearly all-powerful Artificial Intelligence, is taking over. Can a few brilliant humans stand in the way of the most powerful program ever created, or will it foil their every move before they make it?

An Awesome 13+ Hours!
Revisado: 12-28-23
Great beginning to the Lost Bride Trilogy!
The cliffhanger was perfect; what a way to end book 1.
Love the way the characters are developing & how the story just pulls you in (pun intended)
For the reviewers complaining about the book not being a stand-alone, look up the word trilogy.
Rarely do I see a 13+ hour book for the price of an Audible credit; most are averaging 6-9 hours, so this book is quite a deal.
I found book 1 to be an easy listen with just enough romance to keep the story going but not overwhelm with bedroom scenes. I like paranormal, fantasy, and time travel books so this was a perfect choice for me. Hurry on with Book 2, please.

Historia
In 2059, two vastly different groups of people portrayed by the compelling trio of Brendan Fraser (Academy Award winner), Luke Kirby (Emmy Award winner), and Vanessa Sears (Dora Award winner) undergo cryonic suspension. While their bodies are frozen, their minds, still active and awake, are uploaded into a massive quantum computer. The first group are all astronauts, about to leave Earth on a one-way interstellar colonization mission. The second group consists of convicted murderers and volunteers who elect to serve their sentences in a virtual-reality prison.

Could have been really good except for the shaming
Revisado: 12-01-23
Fine if you want more division of races, beliefs, and gender ideology.
I get it... whyte people, bad... straight people, bad... and anyone with a conservative opinion, bad.
I am sorry that men/women who want to be opposite of their genetic sex find it challenging to navigate the world of mostly straight people, but that is no reason to blame straight people just like it is wrong to race shame. What a person feels inside is important, and other people telling them it is wrong or bad are they themselves wrong, but it is more than politics.
This story idea had such potential, but instead of writing about essential details, the writer chose to waste paper on fueling the political divide.

Asher Mallone just wanted to do his time and retire. He and his family had plans. Unfortunately for him, the Teledyne Corporation had its own ideas, and they didn't track with Mallone's. The more he did and the better he became at his job, the more important tasks Teledyne assigned him, ultimately culminating in the creation of a force of corporate espionage specialists better than any other—past, present, or future. Retirement could wait a little longer.
