I have enjoyed the Daisy Dalrymple series so far. However one the narrator was changed, CDI Alex always ‘sounds’ mad, even when speaking to his wife and daughter. His soft words are narrated/spoken harshly, even. That and language getting thrown in where is could be left out are my only two negatives. The stories are delightful and I can often figure the culprit before they can, so it isn’t a, “Wow, where did that even come from? It wasn’t even mentioned,” type like some, which is makes these stories good. Thank you for sharing them.

Hard to listen to this one

When all the male voices sound the same, and even a female or two sound like the male ones, it is difficult to follow and become a little monotonous. Good story, would not recommend the change of narrator for this one. (Different narrator for all the other books in this series, changed narrator for this one.)

Third book, poor narration

I enjoyed the books and looked forward to the next, but the narration was such that I could not get past chapter 3. Would not have purchased the 3 book set if I had known. I’ll check for the narrator name before I buy more from the author.
