Historia
Something is very wrong with the Fitzwilliam estate. It was supposed to be a regular seance job. But from the minute I met an angry ghost in the hall, I knew there wasn't going to be anything ordinary about this house or its dead residents. First of all, there were way too many of them. Second, some of them had been helped along from living to dead. Third, my attempt to figure out what was going on got a bit sidetracked when I met the gardener. He was tall, dark green, and handsome. And really, really smart. So I hired him to help me figure out what was going on.

Surprisingly loved this ship vs the main
Revisado: 10-29-24
I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. I wasn't as invested book 4 so I put it off for a while. I was pleased with the spice level and cried at the end. Narrator was fine but I listen at x2+ speed.

Historia
Amanda Owen's The Power of Receiving: A Revolutionary Approach to Giving Yourself the Life You Want and Deserve presents a new paradigm for the 21st century - a philosophy that values receiving as much as giving and demonstrates that giving is enhanced when receiving is embraced. With the formula: Believe + Receive = Achieve, The Power of Receiving presents a wholly original yet easily accessible road map for people to follow, showing listeners how to restore balance to their over-extended lives and attract the life they desire and deserve.

Revisado: 10-18-24
This book definitely had some small bits of problematic but it has a general really good mindset/viewpoint to offer And the monster party personification exercise is super awesome and probably would work for me and I'm glad I found that

Excellent
Revisado: 10-18-24
Activist wise things have escalated since this was published in 2018 but this lays an excellent foundation for understanding the trans perspective.
This is also a great time to read before the upcoming election. Will be adding to my LGBTQ+ education list.

Well written, great author and great narrator, however this needs trigger warnings for mentions of suicide, gory details of body mutilation and murder, and children death/abuse.

Historia
Alex Green is a young girl in a world much like ours, except for its most seminal event: the Mass Dragoning of 1955, when hundreds of thousands of ordinary wives and mothers sprouted wings, scales, and talons; left a trail of fiery destruction in their path; and took to the skies. Was it their choice? What will become of those left behind? Why did Alex’s beloved aunt Marla transform but her mother did not? Alex doesn’t know. It’s taboo to speak of.

Woman's Rights and Motherhood and Queerness and Other
Revisado: 03-21-24
My review is not to say that this wasn't a good book. It just wasn't my flavor to rate it better.
HOWEVER this was a great book to metaphorically represent the treatment of women, women's rights in the United States past (esp their education), and to highlight queer love and mixed families and society's feelings towards them.
The motherhood feeling made me cry. It was all in all a wonderful book.

Not what I expected but lovely story
Revisado: 02-08-24
I am a big fan of anything Fae so this was a delight. Character development and feeling and imagery was well balanced. It didn't get as spicy and I thought it would based on what I've seen about the hype, it was beautifully tastefully done. The ending was very moving. Overall I enjoyed this more than I thought I would and will be continuing the series.

Dislike Persephone
Revisado: 02-01-24
Wow, ok so I loved the first book and am so ready to see how this version plays out. But I really can't stand this version of Persephone. Great version of Hades 😍
Also they fuck like every 20 mins or so throughout the entire book. That's basically all they do other than fight 😅
