Historia
Before he was the Gray Man, Court Gentry was Sierra Six, the junior member of a CIA action team. In their first mission, they took out a terrorist leader, at a terrible price. Years have passed. The Gray Man is on a simple mission when he sees a ghost: the long-dead terrorist, but he's remarkably energetic for a dead man. A decade of time hasn't changed the Gray Man. He isn't one to leave a job unfinished or a blood debt unpaid.

I enjoyed all of the previous Gray Man novels, but this one was torture to listen to. No creativity, just boring. I wish I thought otherwise.

Is Hurwitz Concussed?
Revisado: 02-24-20
I'm an avid fan of the Orphan X series. I'm a big fan of Gregg Hurwitz. Im a huge fan of Scott Brick's performances... But this concoction of the three just didn't work. I've got to give Brick props for doing his thing as he always does. Sometimes a bit dramatic but his voice is what kept me listening until the story ended.
For Evan smoke to run around doing what he does with a concussion is the most annoying thing to listen to. I realize this is fantasy and fiction and everything he does is super human. But in this case he seems like this week dude who just kept getting lucky. I don't wanna hear about is throbbing head and his blurry vision and all of these situations he got himself into because of one ridiculous parking lot fight with somebody who he would normally kill with his pinky.
Maya and Peter, whatever, there's usually something else he can do with that but her wits just didn't do it. Ida Rosenbaum was really the best part of this book, and that was just a little comic relief that took us away from the main story. And speaking of the main story, pure ridiculousness. I'm sorry. The dogfights, the gangs, the politicians, the city Council, the C4 in the conference room, all it was just a bunch of silliness. It wasn't typical Evyn smoke serious business. And then to end on that phone call with mom, come on. Dumb. Hi
Joey bringing the dog and messing up his apartment and Evans meticulous living space had dog piss and hair everywhere. It's just not what I want to listen to. Thinking back, the prison scene was pretty cool, a little far-fetched but really cool nonetheless. He got very lucky. So I'm still a fan, I just can't wait for the next book. Sorry Gregg Hurwitz Don't rush the stories. Give us some more situations where he's on more serious missions but encounters silly things like helping the guy in the HOA group With the street thugs. I'm not sure which book that was but that was a cool scene. You know, let some people who don't know Evyn catch a glimpse of what he can really do. Let there be a little bit of overlap between reality and his assassin world. That's the fun stuff to read. That's the stuff that real people can relate with. Hey, this is just my two cents, but I don't want to hear this bad ass running around with a concussion hoping he can get the job done. And the seemingly little job turned out to be the biggest thing in the world. Blah blah blah. Just not believable.
I'm not proofreading this so sorry for any typos. Well done Scott Brick! I'm not concerned about the next book or my losing interest in this series. Ask yourself one thing, do I look scared?

Zachary Quinto - best known for his role as the Nimoy-approved Spock in the recent Star Trek reboot and the menacing, power-stealing serial killer, Sylar, in Heroes - brings his well-earned sci-fi credentials and simmering intensity to this audio-exclusive novella from master storyteller John Scalzi. One day, not long from now, it becomes almost impossible to murder anyone - 999 times out of a thousand, anyone who is intentionally killed comes back. How? We don't know.

this was a really interesting story that had a great potential to be so much more. I enjoyed the book, but it left me wanting more. I guess that says something about the author and the performance.

short, sweet, somber, and sort of boring
Revisado: 05-22-19
this book had some interesting stories, but it left me pretty bored during the performance and really wanting to be hooked in with much more gripping tales with facts and info about the real behind-the-scenes stuff that nobody's ever heard of. I feel like I've heard this story a hundred times and each time it just gets a little more boring. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy it I'm just annoyed that it wasn't more than it was.this book had some interesting stories, but it left me pretty bored during the performance and really wanting to be hooked in with much more gripping tales with facts and info about the real behind-the-scenes stuff that nobody's ever heard of. Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

My favorite book so far.
Revisado: 05-13-19
Like MacGyver on another planet. The performance is incredible. Three listens already! sometimes I revisit this book and just listen because it's just that good. I catch things on the next go-round that I didn't catch earlier. if I had to complain about anything, I would wish they had never put Matt Damon's face on the cover. I like Matt Damon don't get me wrong, but before he was casted for the movie, The book had just a different feel to it. when I listen to it I don't picture Matt Damon at all. The movie was okay, but the book goes to a level of detail that your mind just loves. give it a listen!

Historia
Fresh off his first mission back with the CIA, Court Gentry secures what seems like a cut-and-dried contract job: A group of expats in Paris hires him to kidnap the mistress of Syrian dictator Ahmed Azzam to get intel that could destabilize Azzam's regime. Court delivers Bianca Medina to the rebels, but his job doesn't end there. She soon reveals that she has given birth to a son, the only heir to Azzam's rule - and a potent threat to the Syrian president's powerful wife. Now, to get Bianca's cooperation, Court must bring her son out of Syria alive.

Court Gentry with a Huge Heart On. On display are his paternal instincts.
Revisado: 01-23-19
Definitely one of the more entertaining and fast-paced gray man books. The storyline was OK, a little bit far-fetched but still very enjoyable. Court seem to have a sense of humor in this one and a sense of caring that maybe he usually doesn’t show as much. I don’t know, just because it’s a woman with a baby to save, which rebel fighting group to go for. Clearly, plots are getting tougher to come by so hopefully this next one will be as good if not better. I realize it’s probably difficult to keep coming up with this stuff. Nonetheless, I really really do enjoy the series and both the narrator in the author or a top-tier. Thank you. Thanks for producing what you produce.

Nowhere man is everywhere again!
So many things come together in this book and what’s amazing about that is that it’s 30 minutes. This was not a bite your nails fight scene book but it was way more intense. So many intertwined the dynamics between all of the characters from the shifting levels of power for each to the intense control Evan Smoak as with everything he does. The power of the gender, the hate groups, the incompetent but egocentric idiot male, and of course the poor victim, the hot female. A touch stereotypical for all of those categories for me, but nonetheless, great her wits, you’re a genius you’re a great writer your ability to put that intense action scene on such a simple device such as a selfie camera screen looking up becoming the eyes for this young lady. What amazing visualization I had while reading that. It was done really perfectly. Scott Brick, your voice is just Perfect for these novels. Perfect for pretty much everything I read of yours or listen to if years. You guys are an amazing team and I really appreciate everything that you do. Greg, do me a favor, put about six or eight of the short stories into one book please. I don’t mind using my audible credits for 30 minutes story, but you leave me wanting more every single time and that’s annoying. Now I have to wait till January to listen to this fourth book. Hurry up man! I can help you come up with some topics if you like. But well done unless I’m a big fan five stars all the way across the board. Thank you very much I really appreciate your talent and your choice of narrators in Scott Brick and a magnificent character such as Evan Smoak.
