It is the first children's book that demonstrates what not to say after a natural disaster. On September 19, 2018, Donald Trump paid a visit to New Bern, North Carolina, one of the towns ravaged by Hurricane Florence. It was there he showed deep concern for a boat that washed ashore. "At least you got a nice boat out of the deal," said President Trump to hurricane victims.

I love Colbert but this book consists of just a few dumb, insensitive things trump said. Most of it is introduction and closing. It's a picture book, it doesn't make a good audiobook.

Very thoughtfully written. I love that she wrote about and relayed to white people what growing up black is like from the platform of having been in the White House. It's very courageous of her to tell this truth, against the background of the racism that followed Prez Obama's tenure, when they really couldn’t make being black an issue without a huge backlash. And it was a huge issue. As it still is.
Not to mention that it was a very down home, easy to listen to book that kept me listening even when I wasn't driving!
