The reasoning is hollow.
Revisado: 11-26-24
I tried to push threw the early portion of the book. However the logical leaps and readiness to violence that the main character takes seems forced. It is true he is acting like a partial introvert but that does not mean he shouldn't have empathy. Maybe that particular gripe is fixed later but up until the river it's like everyone is just dumb. I get the mind controller might have her hookes into everyone, but EVERYONE is acting like they are not in a dangerous situation even after the dead body. just unpleasant storytelling

Venturing through enchanted forests, into mage enclaves atop ice-capped mountains, through thief-ridden sewers and into ancient temples, Art must defeat the Legendary Beasts and claim their gems of power before his enemies can stop him.

Honestly I tried.
Revisado: 07-17-24
If I can place a finger on what is wrong with this story is that it is just bland, I only got to the 18 hour point because I listen to it while working. There was not true thing holding my attention to it. No spoilers but if you want an exciting new world full of adventure, go somewhere else.

time travel done okay?
Revisado: 05-25-24
the story itself was a little enticing. I myself love time travel, however as the boy aged himself up he had literal years to get over his past mistakes or things that he should have made piece with. Yes his ability is a good representation of exponential growth threw the use of 5 years mechanic. But that being said he never truly tried to master his ability by designing or creating anything truly great beyond throw more power at it.

Revisado: 07-25-22
This "guide" has so many examples that you need the physical book for that it becomes annoying to try and parse out the structure of what is being described. I gave it a try but needless to say it was not for me.

Two books so far
Revisado: 03-06-22
From the magic system, to the mythology, to the subtle details the two books are okay, by no means are they suited for everyone though this story has one of the cuter protagonists that I have come across so far, at least in the beginning. They books both are a decent listen to if your goal like mine is to fill the void of time wile you are working on a different project. Not that it is necessarily a bad point of view by the second book the story felt mildly disjointed. Almost as if the author had a hard time keeping on trach with the "main" characters point of view. Granted writing with someone who is slowly losing what it means to be human is a difficult thing, it dose leave a bit to be desired. So in conclusion i do hope that the third installment of the series will be one that can patch the issues with the second one but we will have to see if there is a third coming out at this point. I do hope so.

Historia
"No killing Goblins." So reads the sign outside of The Wandering Inn, a small building run by a young woman named Erin Solstice. She serves pasta with sausage, blue fruit juice, and dead acid flies on request. And she comes from another world. Ours. It's a bad day when Erin finds herself transported to a fantastical world and nearly gets eaten by a Dragon. She doesn't belong in a place where monster attacks are a fact of life, and where Humans are one species among many. But she must adapt to her new life. Or die.

a little slow to start
Revisado: 11-07-21
it's an interesting time when I decide to write a review. The wandering inn was not what I thought it should be, however none the less it was an enjoyable experience. it has the varying levels of politics needed to support the viewport of the , 2? or 3? main interests in the story along side enough whimsical expressions to show that not all humanoids are equal. the overt tones of racism seem to be pointless until the viewer asked the questions of why. After all would everyone accept an outsider, or would they be weary, and if so would not some more outgoing people's investigate? It shows the proper levels of character placed into each race to distinguish one from the other, be it drake, gnoll, human, the lone minotaur, etc. every race is distinct. every character is apart of a much larger game. And yes the chess matches, let's leave them on the table. After listening to this book I came to understand the reason it was so important to one of the main characters, mostly as a lifeline, a tether to keep her grounded in the months she's been in the inn. I shall not spoil anything else, But give the book a chance with an open mind.

Historia
Steve doesn’t know who he was. He does know a lot more than he did previously, though. He’s in a country called Lamals where men are required to have children, then more often than not, go fight and die. And that’s just how it is. Things are at least improving, though. Steve successfully put a stop to the Creep’s advance. He’d buried it under a mountain of broken wall and escaped with his life. Which eliminates one enemy. The creep and its undead.
