this book is really 2 books in a trench coat with litrpg spray painted across its chest.

I think this just wasint for me. I didint find any of the main caratures compelling, thay don't have any interesting chemistry as a group or as pairs. the MC is obnoxiously unlucky but its never really payed off. the gender dysphagia is both played for a laugh In one carature and played straight in another. the MC just kinda comes off as mentally unwell and is told that by someone thay consider a friend.
it's like the book is trying to be a dark fantasy litrpg setting with a tortured but plucky MC but the book is actually a sifi setting with theams about identity and personhood. the two sides of the story don't really play nice with each other the litrpg feels like a distraction from the real story the books trying to tell.

think I bought this early 2020 never started it till now. I always loved post apocalyptic story's and still do for the most part but I'm sick of the humans are the real monsters story lines. like I git it people are shit to each other I git enough of that in the real world I no longer tolerate it in my fiction. so thanks is a well written book and I would have loved it the 2010s but is palidions, the power of friendship and love at first sight story's.

a good brake from saving the world / universe. nice relatable litrpg story about a girl that gets magic powers and all that entails. maby wont knock your socks off but will keep you entertained.

The Male narrator is at least twice as painful to listen to as you th think he will be whin hearing the sample. i might have been able to enjoy this book if it had a good narrator or the girl read th hr whole book. it's a campy book but I can dig that but the dudes voice.
