Historia
A night spent sleeping on dirt and leaves is not how Claire Matchett expected to spend her vacation. She thought this would be a break. A week of hiking and hot tubs with two other couple friends. Then Claire’s minivan breaks down on a lonely dirt road. With no cell reception, the group has no choice but to hike the rest of the way to their hotel. But it turns out the woods aren’t as easy to navigate as they thought. Hours later, they are lost. Hopelessly lost. And as they navigate deeper into the woods, the members of their party are struck down mysteriously one by one.

Great story... but different from the norm!
Revisado: 01-01-25
This was a fantastic story in his own right. I really enjoyed it and was on the edge of my seat for the entirety. however, as far as twists and turns that I expect when reading a book from Freida, it fell short. I had it figured out way before even in the middle of the book. Then the final twist, in my opinion, was not up to her regular standard.

Historia
Ashford, Vermont, might look like your typical sleepy New England college town, but to the shadowy residents who live among the remains of its abandoned mills and factories, it's known as "Burntown". Eva Sandeski, known as "Necco" on the street, has been a part of this underworld for years, ever since the night her father, Miles, drowned in a flood that left her and her mother, Lily, homeless.

Thrill and suspense meets beautiful imagery and metaphor
Revisado: 07-10-24
The pictures that Jennifer paints are always so warm and beautiful. Her use of metaphor and symbolic imagery is so well integrated into the storyline. was a beautifully written story. Along with the exciting and thrilling storyline there comes a great message for accepting every person for who they are and understanding that everyone comes from a different place in life. The threads of friendship and family are woven through this story only compliment the suspense and excitement, but also giving it a very warm, meaningful message.

Revisado: 03-25-24
Ray Porter could read the phone book and I would love it. However, this was also a really engaging and interesting story. I've already listened to the first one and I cannot wait to listen to the next one.

Historia
They call her Blister. She's a hideously disfigured 23-year-old woman, living in a shed next to her father's house, hidden away from the world. Jason Tray is a successful cartoonist, banished to his agent's lakeside cabin for a few days of mandatory rest and relaxation. One night, while hanging out with a couple of the locals at a dive bar, he takes them up on their offer to go "see Blister," having no idea what they're talking about.

Love Story With a Twist....
Revisado: 10-19-22
it took me 3 days to finish this story. I loved every minute of it. I love the writing style, I love the character development, I loved the plot. I would have liked a little more information at the ending about what happened with the rest of the main character's lives. but overall it was a satisfying ending.

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Awesome...
Revisado: 09-20-22
I read quite a few negative reviews of this book. I don't get it. I thought this book was brilliant. It was not your typical Stephen King book for sure, but you could definitely tell he was the one that penned it. The characters were well developed and lovely, the story was well fleshed out as always, I just liked every minute of it. The narrator was brilliant. He did a phenomenal job of reading this story. I highly recommend.

Fantastic...
Revisado: 01-25-21
will wind up a fantastic job narrating this story. As a child of the 80s myself I loved the well-researched Pop Culture memorial from that decade. The underlying themes, and commentary on society are also very interesting, making this book a real thinker. Can't wait to read the next one. Oh and one more thing if you've seen the movie and think you know the storyline of his book. They're completely different. Ready Player One!

Every year, a new generation of genetically engineered kids is shipped out to meet their parents. Every spring, the residents of this town take down the snow they've stuck to their windows and put up flowers. Every morning Martin's family gathers around their television and votes for whatever matter of national importance the president has on the table. Today, it is the color of his drapes. It's business as usual under the protective dome of suburb HM1, but it is all about to come crashing down.

I left the story especially chip. I think chip is the best character in the whole story. I'm feeling a bit disappointed by the ending I haven't looked yet but I'm hoping there's a sequel.

Great story... Too much virtue signalling!
Revisado: 07-23-19
This was a fantastic story. Full of beautiful women each with their own tale to tell. However, the author should have let the women and their struggles, victories , and triumphs speak for themselves. Instead of having to insert her own political agenda into the story. Yes, back in the 50s and 60s feminism was important, and we all still struggle today, both men and women, in our search for a place where we belong. However, I felt that the authors' political agenda in the story was too obvious and heavy-handed. I wish she would have just let these wonderful characters tell their story and let us, her intelligence audience, come to our own conclusions and make our own decisions. I hate literature that spoon feeds me what I should believe.
