In the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election, Donald Trump and many around him, including certain other elected Republican officials, intentionally breached their oath to the Constitution: they ignored the rulings of dozens of courts, plotted to overturn a lawful election, and provoked a violent attack on our Capitol.

A Lesson for Today in Heroism and Patriotism
Revisado: 02-10-25
This book is more relevant in 2025 than it should be. Liz Cheney’s writing is clear and refreshingly principled. While the subject matter is difficult, her descriptions of the many courageous and hardworking people involved in efforts to defend and preserve liberty after January 6, 2021 is moving and may yet inspire a cultural return to an understanding and reverence for the founding principles of America. Do you wish you could learn how our country could be truly great again? Read or listen to this book!

Enlightening and Terrific Resource
Revisado: 01-02-25
I enjoyed this book immensely! As a parent of adult children, I wish I’d read it sooner. It has deepened my appreciation and understanding of my children and
now my grandchildren. Carol Tuttle offers a unique perspective and wonderful insights and practical advice for anyone interested in understanding variations in young children of any age. It also leads to understanding one’s own childhood, supporting healthier and happier adulthood. So, it’s a must for anyone who has children in their life, or who desires a better understanding of their childhood, or anyone seeking a deeper understanding of humanity.

Historia
On their first night in Paris, the Gamaches gather as a family for a bistro dinner with Armand’s godfather, the billionaire Stephen Horowitz. But an attempt on the elderly man’s life sends Armand, his wife, Reine-Marie, and his former second-in-command at the Sûreté, Jean-Guy Beauvoir, from the top of the Tour d’Eiffel, to the bowels of the Paris Archives, from luxury hotels to odd, coded works of art. It sends them deep into the secrets Armand’s godfather has kept for decades.

Historia
Asserting that you have the moral right to be in control of your life, Think Right or Wrong, Not Left or Right (2nd Expanded Edition advocates that neither today’s political left nor right have your best interests at hand. Their alluring promise of a cradle-to-grave safety net is deceptive, because in reality, it transfers control of your life from you to society, one government program, one tax, and one regulation at a time. The book shows why the traditional political left-to-right spectrum presents you with two false alternatives.

Clear, Concise, Optimistic and Revelatory!
Revisado: 09-17-24
If you think there are elements of insanity in the current political climate, Anders Ingemarson meets you where you are and not only guide you to a new perspective, but he also illuminates a path forward. This isn’t a highly technical book; it’s refreshingly clear to anyone concerned about where things are going. His optimism is a startling contrast to the cynicism in our current culture, but hearing him out in this short book will be rewarding. Highly recommend! Hoping for an audio version of his third edition soon.

Historia
In a scrap heap within an abandoned factory, the greatest invention in history lies dormant and unused. By what fatal error of judgment has its value gone unrecognized, its brilliant inventor punished rather than rewarded for his efforts? In defense of those greatest of human qualities that have made civilization possible, one man sets out to show what would happen to the world if all the heroes of innovation and industry went on strike.

Reading this book as a young person was transformative. Rereading it reveals so much more, and Ayn Rand’s prescience is more evident now. Having lived since first reading it I can appreciate it in much more detail now. It was well worth a revisit. Scott Brick’s reading is magnificent.

Historia
For over a decade, philosopher and energy expert Alex Epstein has predicted that any negative impacts of fossil fuel use on our climate will be outweighed by the unique benefits of fossil fuels to human flourishing--including their unrivaled ability to provide low-cost, reliable energy to billions of people around the world, especially the world’s poorest people. And contrary to what we hear from media “experts” about today’s “renewable revolution” and “climate emergency,” reality has proven Epstein right.
