What a delight!
Revisado: 04-19-25
It’s a wonderful story filled with interesting characters, locations, and intrigue. I’ve always been fascinated by the doll houses I saw in Chicago. Or maybe miniatures is a better description so it was fun to listen to. The building and development of the doll houses.

But wish it had been longer. Great characters a great story. The actors were on point and I could’ve listened for several more hours. Disappointed when it ended so soon.

Historia
No one loves Christmas more than editorial assistant Eve Pilkins. But when her boss hits her with a huge deadline on Christmas Day, it looks like Eve's favourite time of the year might be cancelled. Armed with as much enthusiasm as she can muster, she travels to the coldest part of England, tasked with ensuring brooding author Edward Priest finishes his latest novel on time. The festive spirit at Cranberry Cross is as dark as the house itself; without a fairy light in sight, it looks like only a Christmas miracle can save this one. Will Eve be up to the task?

Wonderful story and fantastic performances
Revisado: 12-20-24
The story was a delight and my first book by this authors. The subjects were wonderful and were unknown to me. Their choice of performers for the audiobook were fabulous. I have bought two more books by this author and can’t wait to start them. I would recommend this book highly.

He hasn’t seen his mom in a year, and Shady Glen’s geriatric residents seem like zombies to him. Josey is 107 and ready for his life to be over. He has evaded death many times, having survived ghettos, dragnets, and a concentration camp—all thanks to the heroism of a woman named Olka and his own ability to sew. But now he spends his days in room 206 at Shady Glen, refusing to speak and waiting (and waiting and waiting) to die. Until Alex knocks on Josey’s door…
