Contains spoilers. The idea of the story is interesting, and something I would typically enjoy. I was prepared for the unexpected romantic, enemies to lovers idea. This was not it. The male main character repeatedly rapes and then aggressively beats the female main character. This is graphically described and the author puts a lot of emphasis on how much the male main character is enjoying her shame and pain. It was a struggle to get through it.

As a 32-year-old who owns a dinosaur costume, I can deeply relate to the main character. I love how she found herself throughout the story. Only thing I didn't care for was the male narrator's voice when speaking the female lines. His interpretation made her sound extremely young.

Very calm voice, just walking you through a flea market. The talking is about 2/3 of the "book," while the other 1/3 is the sounds of the market that slowly fade away. I could definitely fall asleep to this. (Also, it doesn't have the usual "Audible hopes you have enjoyed this program." at the end, so no startling you back awake!)

Contains Spoilers!! I loved the first two books. Super cute and I fell in love with the family instantly. Then this book came along. Ava is a horrible woman. She's selfish and she blames Tobias for everything. When he tries to respect her wishes, she gets mad that he doesn't pressure her to change her plans. She initiates intimacy, he asks repeatedly if she's sure. Then afterwards she complains that he's complicating things by being physical. Her whole problem is that Tobias won't ask her to stay-- except she has said multiple times that she has no desire to settle down and leave her job, and she won't even talk to her boss about taking more local jobs. Of course Tobias isn't going to ask or insist that she stay! She's communicated her wishes and he's respecting that by not pressuring her otherwise. Just ticks me off that a great guy is stuck with this woman. I bet if they did a five year epilogue, Tobias would be raising his daughter alone in Montana.
