Revisado: 02-24-25
I grew up in Wyoming and spent a lot of time at the setting of this book. what he says is accurate as to the location, the weather, other things that I appreciate. It's a great story with a lot of interesting characters and suspense. kind of scary.

Historia
There’s a bad new cat in sleepy little Molena Point: a renegade tom with a penchant for robbery, a scorn for his fellow felines, and a disdain for human laws. And he’s masterminding a crime spree that’s quickly escalating toward murder most foul. Dulcie and Joe Grey both know the score - they’ve seen Azrael in action. But how can they expose the criminal without letting ordinary, untrustworthy humans in on the secret that certain select cats can think - and talk? Cats like them…

It's a little bit of a stretch to reality but I like that kind of story. I will listen to the rest of the series. I like both the story and the narrator very much.

Historia
On June 1, 1996, John and Joyce Edmonds purchased a ranch in Rainbow Valley, Arizona. What has ensued for the past two-plus decades beguiles all concepts of our reality. After 23 years, John has finally told his whole story. The story of Stardust Ranch transcends its geography, and John and Joyce Edmonds themselves. It becomes a story for the human race at a very important time in our journey as a people on this planet.

When tribal police officer Bernadette Manuelito arrives to speak at a program for at-risk teens, she discovers chaos. Everyone is concerned about a beloved instructor who went out into the wilds of the rugged lava wilderness bordering Ramah Navajo Reservation to find a missing girl. The instructor vanished somewhere in the volcanic landscape known as El Malpais. The instructor's disappearance mirrors a long-ago search that may be connected to a case in which the legendary Joe Leaphorn played a crucial role.

as good as her father's books
Revisado: 07-05-20
when I first noticed Ann hillerman I was excited because I had so much loved Tony hillerman. when I found out he was her father I wondered if she would measure up to the original. not disappointed at all it's a great job and it picks up the personalities and the setting very similarly to the original novels by Tony hillerman. I'd like to see a little bit more of what he did with regard to settings and atmosphere but everyone has their own style and this is a good author in her own right.
