The sample preview doesn't do the book justice
Revisado: 07-02-24
the only thing I didn't like about this excellent book was the was the preview. If I had heard even a little bit of the story in the preview, hear how it was written and narriated, I wouldn't have waited so long to buy it. unfortunately, Audible doesn't let you thumb through the pages. This book was bery interesting, well written, and the narrator was excellent (although the singing was a little rough 😄jk) Its world building was great, the characters were fairly well fleshed out with great room for development, the book wasn't overly sexual or gorry, the plot and climax were done well, and it closed all the loops at the end. This book is definitely worth the time and money and I can't wait to see where we go next.

Historia
When it comes to action and adventure, every hero needs a good sidekick. Holmes has Watson, Batman has Robin, and Daniel has . . . Orrin. More like brothers than friends, they always have each other's backs. And as Daniel is the big, strong, handsome type, Orrin is more than happy to remain in his shadow at school, at parties, pretty much everywhere. Then things take a turn for the truly weird when a terrible accident catapults the pair into a world totally unlike their own, in which the rules of a role-playing game hold sway.

Revisado: 03-13-24
Can't wait for the next one this summer. Not too gory, not sexualized, not too dirty... this book is a good read and a refreshing change from the other LitRPG books out there. Definitely worth a look!

The title: A Case for Atheist would have been more fitting.
Revisado: 01-20-24
This was a very poetic, but thinly veiled attack on the Worlds Religions with focus on Christianity. If you are on the fence about religion or looking for reassurance that your choice to not believe in God was correct, this book is the right choice for you.
Dan Brown is a great writer and I've bought and read a good number of his titles. This book seemed rather formulaic though. It's like he had a lot to say and structured it as a Facebook Timeline story or reel and dragged it out for 16 hours. I was hoping for more action or a grand revelation, but ... yeah. I guess it is what it is. Books are hard to write and maybe he's just getting tired? Anyway, not a bad read but not the best either.

Historia
Felix would like nothing more than to take a vacation. A long one. One where he didn’t have to wake up every morning and worry over casualty lists for the day. Ever since he and the Legion had been forced to flee their headquarters four years previous, nothing had gone quite right. In fact, Felix and the Legion have been locked in a shadow war with enemies unknown. Ones with magic that could carve through their technology easily.

Ok, I get it, he's horny!!!
Revisado: 11-22-23
It's a good story and a good idea, but why turn all the women into bimbos and thots? let's hear more about the other worlds, or develop Felix more as a character, or more about what beastkin are and their powers. I mean, does each beast have their own language or talk to the animals of earth? does Felix turn into Ironman at some point? what happens if you give Felix dragon blood? can he transform or get some of their powers? I mean dang , these books could be so much more than softcore porn wrapped around a story.

Great story and material, but boring reader
Revisado: 12-16-22
This story was pretty good and I had no idea this guy existed! Unfortunately the narrator read this book like he was reading a dictionary, but in an English accent. Only my desire to learn more about this very interesting samurai kept me going. Overall this was a great book!

Historia
Yetu holds the memories for her people - water-dwelling descendants of pregnant African slave women thrown overboard by slave owners - who live idyllic lives in the deep. Their past, too traumatic to be remembered regularly, is forgotten by everyone, save one - the historian. This demanding role has been bestowed on Yetu. Yetu remembers for everyone, and the memories, painful and wonderful, traumatic and terrible and miraculous, are destroying her. And so, she flees to the surface, escaping the memories, the expectations, and the responsibilities.

interesting story
Revisado: 12-02-22
it was a good story, but the reading was monotone and kinda flat. And I don't understand how the love story fit... did they run out of material? still, I liked the concept of the rest of the story

Historia
Kaiju: Battlefield Surgeon. Survival horror. One of the most brutal, most terrifying full-immersion games ever made. A place where fantasy characters such as elves and dwarves clash with technology, where giant monsters roam the hills, entrusted with protecting the gates of heaven from the demons who would tear it all down. A game where one plays the last of the battlefield surgeons: a healer tasked with keeping the behemoths alive at all costs. But on this server, they don't care about the game. They've come because of the game's most unique feature: full pain.

Wow, this is not Dungeon Crawler Carl or Dominion
Revisado: 11-17-22
this book was well written and well performed, and probably one of the grossest pieces of fiction that I've read in the last 5 years. Do not, and I repeat do not eat while reading this book. You will throw up. The writing is that good and that descriptive. just when you think you've hit the bottom he gets even lower. also, this book is a rant against God. he will take you and the main character through hell to show you that fact. I listen to the whole thing, and I cannot do it again. I loved dungeon Carl and Dominion of blades but I just can't do this one again. anyway, great writing keep up the good work
