Much improved from the first book.

Kind of juvenile how some of the characters act, but overall the story is much better paced than the first book. Wonderfully answers some questions in the first while simultaneously leaving good teasers leaving you with a good ending but wanting to see the next book.

interesting concept of magic and having a magical Smith as the main character.

Followed of lot of stereotypical tropes and dragged a little bit here and there. Overall was a good story and created an interesting idea of support characters. Looking forward to how the epic developes.
