Should not have been written.
Revisado: 09-21-23
I'm a lifelong Star Trek fan. This franchise has been instrumental in my life because of its historically excellent storytelling. I wish I can say something positive about this book, but I can't. The narration was good. That's it. Otherwise, this was a tremendously boring book. It veered off into several directions that had nothing to do with the main story. While I was listening to it, I often wondered why this book was written at all. It was just super repetitive and un-inspiring. The author has written some seriously excellent books in the past. I just don't understand why he'd spend any time on something this poorly written. It was a big miss. Avoid.

Very detailed/technical. Not for the executives.
Revisado: 05-24-23
This book is valuable for those who are interested in the history of data analysis and how products and platforms have evolved over the last couple of decades. It is very detailed and really isn't for the executive ranks. It's more for a DB administrator or a data analyst who is early in their career in the field and is also a technology history enthusiast.
Almost 2 hours into it and I'm planning to return this book. My first time ever!

Historia
It finally happened. Commander Thrax Ti Ix created a hyper-spatial tube for the Swarm Imperium. Across thousands of light-years, a vast armada of warships is heading for Earth to burn the homeworld down to its bedrock as the Swarm begins its genocidal campaign against the human race. No one - not the New Men, the Spacers, the Wahhabi Caliphate, or Star Watch - has faced such staggering odds. Alone or united, it makes no difference.

Not as good as the prior books in the series
Revisado: 09-26-19
I’ve been reading the series since the first volume. All the books up to this one have been very engaging with very well developed characters. This book, however, was different and not in a good way. The main players were often acting out of character. So much so, that at times I thought this book was written by a different author. Very odd.

While this book has the occasional good advice, most of the “insights” are commonly known. In addition, the first third of the book is spent explaining what wikis and Twitter are and their usage. Not impactful for most readers.

Historia
What if you found a way to send something back in time? But not weeks, days, or even minutes back. What if you could only send something back a fraction of a second? Would this be of any use? You wouldn't have nearly enough time to right a wrong, change an event, or win a lottery. Nathan Wexler is a brilliant physicist who thinks he's found a way to send matter a split second back into the past. But before he can even confirm his findings, he and his wife-to-be, Jenna Morrison, find themselves in a battle for their very lives.

Ok story, but author is bigoted
Revisado: 03-03-17
The story was OK and meanders at times. However, the author seems to be a staunch bigot. It took away from the story and his credibility as an author.
