Historia
Tenacity in Children examines how multiple generations of parents and caregivers raised children to become successful adults. Until relatively recent times in human history, there were no schools or organized institutions, nor were there parenting books. Rather, caregivers depended on the seven important instincts that evolved across tens of thousands of years in the human species.

Sophisticatedly simple and useful paradigms for understanding and helping the adult-child dynamic. Wish I had it earlier as a parent.
Much of it may be helpful for adolescents to listen to as well.

Excessive cussing
Revisado: 05-20-22
They were going through some "shit" and frequently say so.
Hey, I cuss too. The trick is that too much cussing makes one sound drunk or stupid.
All that said, there are some useful insights that come out. Still worth a listen.

Historia
In Everything Trump Touches Dies, political campaign strategist and commentator Rick Wilson brings his darkly funny humor and biting analysis to the absurdity of American politics in the age of Trump. Wilson mercilessly exposes the damage Trump has done to the country, to the Republican Party he served for decades, and to the conservative movement that has abandoned its principles for the worst president in American history. No left-winger, Wilson is a lifelong conservative who delivers his withering critique of Trump from the right.

Fair amount of repetition.

Repetition is the mother of learning, and there is a lot of it. Otherwise worthwhile.

Historia
A psychologist and best-selling author gives us a myth-busting response to the self-help movement, with tips and tricks to improve your life that come straight from the scientific community. Richard Wiseman has been troubled by the realization that the self-help industry often promotes exercises that destroy motivation, damage relationships, and reduce creativity: The opposite of everything it promises. Good except for the questionnaires
Revisado: 11-13-15
Many useful tidbits of knowledge. The only real bad parts are the questionnaires. They are read out line-by-line in an excruciatingly boring fashion. Several minutes are sometimes spent reading the questionnaires ("One. Strongly disagree. Two. Disagree. Three. Somewhat disagree. Four. Somewhat agree. Five.... " over and over and over again... ). It seems like a stupid way to narrate a smart book. It is definitely a waste of the listener's time.

Historia
Foer's unlikely journey from chronically forgetful science journalist to U.S. Memory Champion frames a revelatory exploration of the vast, hidden impact of memory on every aspect of our lives. On average, people squander forty days annually compensating for things they've forgotten. Joshua Foer used to be one of those people. But after a year of memory training, he found himself in the finals of the U.S. Memory Championship. Even more important, Foer found a vital truth we too often forget.
