Historia
Adam Mackay. Local legend. My brother’s best friend. The world biggest movie star...and my major, epic, unrequited crush. He needs a cat-sitter in sunny L.A., and I need a place to live after a bad breakup. Perfect, right? Sure, if you possess any type of self-control. Spoiler alert: I have none. This arrangement has trouble written all over it, but warning signs are meant to be ignored. Kind of like clicking on the "I have read and agreed" no one actually reads before clicking. Problem is, I never did agree to fall so quickly back into love.

Historia
This lush novel, set in 1766 England and America, evokes an era ripe with riot and revolution, from the teeming streets of London to the sprawling grounds of a Virginia plantation. Mack McAsh burns with the desire to escape his life of slavery in Scottish coal mines while Lizzie Hallim is desperate to shed a life of sheltered subjugation to her spineless husband. United in America, their only chance for freedom lies beyond the Western frontier - if they're brave enough to take it.

Historia
We fell in love on a beach, got married in paradise, and rode off into the sunset. It should have been perfect, but saying "I do" doesn't guarantee a happily ever after. Two years later, I barely recognize either of us behind the walls we've built. It's time to bring it full circle. Back to a tropical paradise. Back to find out if we can still make this work. I'm not willing to give her up, but to save us, I have to risk everything.

Would you consider the audio edition of Take Me Back to be better than the print version?
Yes, because I could identify with the characters with the readers voices. I could almost smell the salt-y air.

Heartwarming, insightful, and often laugh-out-loud funny, A Dog's Purpose is not only the emotional and hilarious story of a dog's many lives, but also a dog's-eye commentary on human relationships and the unbreakable bonds between man and man's best friend. This moving and beautifully crafted story teaches us that love never dies, that our true friends are always with us, and that every creature on earth is born with a purpose.

Absolutely
Who was your favorite character and why?
The Police Dog
Which character – as performed by William Dufris – was your favorite?
The DOG
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No ... I listen in the car.
Any additional comments?
I loved it that the author so eloquently handled the death of a dog, and his second & third lives - with 'memories' of his previous lives. The absolute innocence of dogs and their quest for PURPOSE. I've already recommended this book many times!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend this book as an 'escape' book. Not too deep, but a good story to take your mind of other matters. I enjoyed the ride and was surprised by the ending.

Historia
On the right side of the law. Sort of. Sebastian Rudd is not your typical street lawyer. He works out of a customized bulletproof van, complete with Wi-Fi, a bar, a small fridge, fine leather chairs, a hidden gun compartment, and a heavily armed driver. He has no firm, no partners, no associates, and only one employee: his driver, who's also his bodyguard, law clerk, confidant, and golf caddy.

Disappointing
Revisado: 01-09-16
Would you try another book from John Grisham and/or Mark Deakins?
Yes, based on ALL of the other John Grisham books I've read.
What was most disappointing about John Grisham’s story?
The story was not compelling. It was very lukewarm.
What three words best describe Mark Deakins’s performance?
He certainly did not keep me on the edge of my seat. His lukewarm performance matched the author's lukewarm writing. Not all all what I have experienced in the past.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
